AndyB
Well I have taken one out of the box. I must say MarGe on the face of it have done a stellar job. Packaging is great and done with care, there are lots of great details. However, no opening panels and unless I am being too careful, the rear ladder doesn't even move. It's one if the heaviest 1/32nd models out there, so much diecast.
AndyB
The grain lids are a neat design, with bits of bendy material to insert with a special tool! However mine are staying in the packet for the time being. The rams and hinges are tight and may need a little lube to stop breakages. Overall in some ways better than the Wiking 780 and in some ways not.
catkom3
Head and shoulder better than the Wiking 780,It only weighs 1.353 kilo and these day's, If you could find one would also be dearer, at 3.070 kilo you get more for you money,,,,,for now,? Plus Wiking only made the 780, which was to big for most collection's, MarGe are doing 8 to suit everyone. Regards Joe

AndyB
I see even the Claas dealers are making on these Lexions - Claas Western are putting £100 on top of retail, very naughty me thinks!
phil phoenix
Claas Western always pile money on top Ive noticed! They will have to reduce when their left with all the wheeled 8000s which are sure to be much less popular.
CX820Joe
I think they marked up the prices massively even before Claas stopped posting to UK - but seems they are really capitalising now. Elite Farm models had them for £195 Things have come a long way since I thought asking for the Britains New Holland TR85 was a lot for my 10th birthday. (it was £10.99)

drunkenmonkey
So mine turned up yesterday and yes I probably paid over the odds for it but It’s well worth it as far as I’m concerned, detail is up to the usual high standard from Marge and compared to my Wiking Lexion it’s in a different league although the Wiking does have some additional functionality, for anyone unsure about purchasing one you won’t be disappointed if you do cheers

Wow its dwarfed by the marge.. but I'm glad for the reassurance I'm sure it's a nice collectirs peice and maybe when the smaller ones come out I can get on of those.

phil phoenix
There doesnt appear to be much difference between a 6000 series machine and the 7000 series. Certainly the tinworks the same, I expect all the differences are within the machine. In other words Marge wouldnt have to do much to make the 6s into 7s if they want. Anyone agree or disagree?
