phil phoenix
I picked up the 650 from Manns Claas HQ on Saturday and was pretty pleased with most of it, but as always there are a few detail's that needed my attention😁 The first job was to remove the unwanted front cab mounted reg. plate. Then I removed all the bonnet grills which were to see through for my liking and painted the inside parts satin black. I put some silver paint on the rear fender lights. And put a Ad Blue filler cap under the first cab step. Also painted out the many rivets. The main grumble on this tractor was the unchanged vents on the bonnet, so I came up with a plan. I painted some light green bars across the grill to re create the new styling, not quite right but good enough. Im considering changing the wheels but am waiting to see if my planned set will fit before deciding.

phil phoenix
I made some more progress today. I made up a safety rail around the exhaust pot with copper braid and painted it black. Then added a number plate and triangular safety decal. Also painted out one of the bonnet vents to make it more like the 2022 machine I sprayed the wheels red/orange with four coats of Claas paint but it just went dull and it wouldnt shine up much either😠..............so I will try a paint brush approach next.
phil phoenix
Well I bought some red and orange acrylic paint , mixed them equally and painted the wheels. The colour match is very good for my other existing Claas models. I removed the bar axle and put a washer on instead to create the spacer effect that look best on claas wheels.
