phil phoenix Posted May 22, 2022 Share Posted May 22, 2022 Without doubt this is the best Claas tractor Ive bought in terms of detail, its top class. It was a personal decision by me to change the tyres and wheels as I felt they were oversized, others probably like them as they are which is fine. So I removed the rear wheels and tyres and replaced the wheels with rims off of the original Ros 870 which are very good and replicate an R42 precisely. The original Ros 870 tractor model is good but not as detailed as the special edition versions. I then modified this rim slightly to take tyres from a UH Fendt 724. I used the 724s front tyres as well after I had narrowed the width of the 870s original front wheels which are based on a R30 rim.
