ihatepoundland
I built this out of my scrap (milk tanker, tesco farm set axle, and a keenan chassis) I had to add the top bit to advoid sawing it off....was meant to be a MF tanker from days of old....but would a different colour/make be more accurate? Any ideas, I don't know my tankers.

ihatepoundland
Here's a pic of a STAR slurry tanker just for comparison...... That looks promising, but were they availible with the top hatch? thanks for the photo
NewHolland2
I'm not sure if you got the top hatch for them I'll try and find out for you...... I'll dig out a pic of a Red Rock one in a minute as well......
Gav836
How about making it a Major one? http://www.major-grasscare.com/agriculture.htm#LGP%20Tanker
ihatepoundland
I just found a Star with a hatch.....but its set further back, there might be other models though? Major....again another good idea as I've seen one used locally, haven't seen one with a mid top hatch...though maybe they exist....maybe I should ignore accuracy since this is the wrong way to approach it

ihatepoundland
Had a look at all of your suggestions (this site was useful http://www.ftmta.ie/search.asp ) Alfa Laval - couldn't find enough info Ipsam - Not going to do a galvanised tanker Pichon - Too french Connor - Maybe, but its a bit JD http://www.cliveprattgarages.com/slurytanker.php Arrow - NC - just don't like the look of them Shortlisted to; Tanco, Fraser, Marshall with Malgar as favourite I think the choice will come down to availible paint colours. Any idea the capacity of the tank? (Britains Lorry Milk tanker) Thanks for all pics and ideas

Any idea the capacity of the tank? (Britains Lorry Milk tanker)Thanks for all pics and ideas four wheel milk tanker would be approx 11500 - 12000 litres, which is roughly 2550 - 2660 gals ? powerstar, the KIDD tankaspread was KIDD's version of the west dual spreader except the discharge was on the right hand side as opposed to the west's left hand discharge
