Question

I'm currently working on a Browns Eagle Bale grab in 3D and although I want it to be as accurate as possible, I want the bales to fit correctly.  Can anyone measure the different Conventional Rectangular bales for me?  There were the old britains ones with the Bomford and New Holland Balers, but not sure about others, like the UH Claas Markant. Any help appreciated

Google sometimes is your friend Ian, ( Iain ), ??? PS if 3D printing your bales, try the Fuzzy skin option, PPS Ols Trissy drives for DN Croft.

Thanks Joe. I have the real life bale sizes(thanks for the link) I want to see how that fits with exiting model bales and balers in 1:32. (I think I’ve found the britains ones are 25mm x 10mm x 10mm

looking at the sizes attached that equates to 31mm x 12.5mm x 9.4mm.

im going to make a batch of realistic looking bales (not 3d print) and I want them to fit the grab I’m modelling but wonder how they would fit with other bales/ balers.

Ah right, picked you up wrong, The thing with 3D printed bales is you can get the dimensions spot on, And useing wood effect filament the colour for straw is close-ish and also useing the Fuzzy skin helps create a straw like effect, You could even incorporate grooves for the twine, although I reckon the " Pause at specific layer " might yield better results, Here are a few I did earlier,

I have made about a 100 or so for the replicagri claas markant. These ones are 11mm wide, 31 mm long and about 9mm tall.

Nice on Jack. That’s a great result. I converted and measured the same then as Replicagri. Britains are wrong sizes as I see it.  Happy days. Looks great. I’m going to do some individual ones in batches but then also some stacks for dioramas

thanks very much
