MJB1
today I'll be helping clear a bit of room in mad's dad barn ready for a new arrival ! last Monday bill & i looked at part ex for his zetor 7245 & have settled on a new landlegend DF254. the main reason for this is that bill is finding the zetor too big & cumbersomefor the jobs he needs it for , main duties will be general maintenance on the smallholding he has , bit of fencing & dung work will also be part of the workload. Years ago he had a kabota & it was used fairly regularly , where as the zetor turns the smallest job into a national event to get things done ! Below are a few pics of a landlegend we looked at in the dealers yard tractor is a near full spec machine 25hp 4wd with twin double acting spools & suspension seat ,parallel linkage loader & 4 in 1 bucket , bill's will be the same spec tractor but in blue as red is no longer available & with standard loader & bucket. What other attachments will he get if any? ah but bill isn't having the 4 in 1. looks handy enough , but it's not like it's a jcb built thing tris , looked at it closely & recomended it was avoided , only want to grab something the wrong way with it & once the front bit is bent it's unuseable . Thats a Siromer isnt it. We looked at them. Cheap machines but look good for the money. Bit flimsey in places but a nice tractor for £5k new not a siromer adam , but very similar , a siromer was disscussed , but were avoided because of some of the design, the landlegend has a separate oil resovour for the power steering, so you can operate the loader & steer at the same time , if you try to use the loader on the siromar, it'll use oil that should power the steering . some of the older SAME tractors were the same , when you tip a silage trailer full tip you had to keep turning the steering wheel from side to side to keep an oil flow there

Leakeyvale
Moving my fish tank (again). Emptied a cupboard that has just had things "put away for the time being" and will move THAT to the hobby room when I get a man to assist. Contents of said cupboard are now climbing the stairs, entering a large cardboard box for the dump or have hit the rubbish bin. Now off for a good relaxing soak, then dinner and a large G&T. Belay that... Got the order wrong. Should read - off for a good relaxing soak WITH a large G&T and then dinner.
