First real job I did was using a haybob. 2 problems though. 1: Same problem with brakes that Nigel's Fordson had. 2: PTO clutch was out of adjustment, you almost had to push the pedal through the footplate to be able to engage it. Fun times though. I also have a vague recollection of sitting on a neighbour's knee steering a "mini" Leyland pulling a trailer load of bales or turnips or something. I was quite young when that happened too. I remember weaving my way across the field at 2 MPH and Hughie telling me "your doing a GRAND job lad!" Quite the confidence booster when you're about 8.
