ihatepoundland
The decals are waiting until the G240 is started so I can use the same template, other than that done It will probably end up a New Holland 8870. Heres a one for you diecast spotters - guess what the front axle is from

FNHIR
Looks class, but can't put my finger on where the front wheels come from!
ihatepoundland
Thanks...ok a clue ...they are from a mainstream diecast tractor producer
FNHIR
My first instinct was the 7920?
ihatepoundland
Warmer....another clue is the inside of the wheel....
JC
The tyres look like they are from a Siku Jd 6920s, the front axle looks interesting, I've seen one before but can't think what it's off..... does the weight block move side to side to steer the wheels?? ihatepoundland
Well done on the tyres, the rear wheels are also off of a JD6920. As for the front axle, the wieght block still turns as per original model, the axle is attached to this, but the ackerman steering is not controlable from the cab I did try connecting a rod back from the loop on the steering arm to the chassis, but lock was poor and strength questionable, I figured I wont be driving it from the cab, how it looked was more important Poor photo, but I can't stick it on its roof to photograph it
JC
I can see where you have fitted the tyre onto the original wheel rims now, what have you "fixed" them with? I'll get back to you on the axle in a short while.....
ihatepoundland
just push fit, of interest, but un-connected in terms of guessing the axle, the tyres from a JD 5410 fit perfectly on those rims, the tractor was going to have the rear wheels as Stx450 wheels/tyres, but not euro enough. . If it helps the rims and the axle are from the same tractor
