graham
cracking pics tris you done it fella and got the pics and the orange T shirt to prove it nice bet that was a bit twitcheee up on that pile some times with the trailer tipped
Deere-est
You could say that, Graham yeah! Being so dry the peat doesn't compact all that well so as you get up to a single track on top the sides do become a little unstable. Just keep looking forward and don't ease off!! Deere-est
It's graded for different qualities, Matty. The market for peat varies from mushroom potting compost for indoor mushroom farms, bagged peat/compost blends and land reclamation. It's piled like that untill it's hauled away during the year, Nick. There was one slip but I wasn't there that day, one side of the off ramp slipped but no damage, just a bit of a jackknife put right with the Doosan. Kiwi6920
I can make silage stacks the same size or bigger but i couldnt find enough balls to take a trailer up one like that and tip...

jdc
Good catch up Tris. Definitely would be lifting the peat damp if I had the choice.
Deere-est
Thanks chaps, that peat doesn't half make some drag. The duals are needed to stay afloat, you can actually see a bow wave when you drive along the lands. The trailers are only carrying about 4 or 5t yet a top speed of 40k isn't ever reached because of the drag. It was certainly interesting and although I went there to do maize harvest it was great to do something completely different, somewhere completely different. :) :)
