richo
Finished this a little while ago but only just got round to taking pictures. of it. Base model was the recent Ertl JD 3140. Wheels and front axle came from a UH Deutz Features are... Fully glazed cab Mirrors and lights PTO shaft and guard Drive shaft to front wheels. Mudguards cut short and bent to match real tractor. Think it has turned out ok, let me know what you all think

richo
looks very nice!!, as Marcus said, will you change the linkage? I personally think the UH linkage looks more realistic and i'm not bothered about attatching implements to this tractor so think i will leave it as it is. richo
Looks good to me.Ive also got a cab to glaze is it easy very nice mate, looks so much better for glazing the cab to, was that easy enough to do The cab is fairly simple to glaze just fiddly! I made some paper templates of the window shapes first The gluing was time consuming and annoying, several pieces had to be redone. It is amazing what a cotton bud and surgical spirit can do to clean up the plastic.

richo
did that take of the super glue stains ? or just normal glue marks, I found that there was a white clouding from the super glue as it dried which cleand up well. Any glue would not come off though.

Deere-est
There has been a few of these conversions over the last few months but this still doesn't bore me of seeing any more. Especially when they are as good as yours Richo, the glaze cab, wheel choice, mudguards, worklights. .... nothing too radical, just all as it would be found on a real one. A fine job you have made of converting a lackingly detailed model. Well done.
