ive had 4 of these tractors now and when this came up i could not resist a bid

Buying a tractor unseen is a bit of a gamble but i took the chance and won the auction

Hence i said in the 575 topic tractors on the east side of england usually work on cropping duties as to ours working in more of a dirty envioriment

Well done indeedy... good price as well.. and a rare little lady with the two door red cab... please can we have plenty of pics when you get her home  ;D

bought her back in end of nov. took Discovery and 14ft ifor williams trailer down to bring her back cost ?100 in diesel (but cheaper than getting a haulage firm to bring her back)

Looks pretty good wit the red cab. Used to have a loader on ours and a forklift on the  back which knocked hell out of the plastic.  :( The back window was a pain so was locked up and then got broken  :)

Still got a few spares left like steering rams, axle pivot bushes etc - I'll have a look.  ;)

That looks very nice - one of those 2 door versions in CT this month made 5k I believe with a loader. As far as I remember very few of this version made (about 300  ???)

Good question Marky

Ive drove all the massey 500 series apart from 595

565,575 and 590 i find very numb and slow and as for the hydrostatic steering :o good workhorses though

Drove the 550 alot in the 80's as it was the only tractor county motors (massey dealers in carlisle) would hire out for cropping duties found it good to handle comfortable quiet and quite nifty with the 32" wheels

As only 5600 of these models where ever built they can only get scarcer compared to 500,000 te's 250,000 35's and about 125,000 135's

i would love to own a 135 but try and buy 1 at the price ther making at the moment,i have a 35x aswell but that is to be sold
