FNHIR
Here we go. It's 1992. In Ireland, it is the year of the landmark X case, Charlie Haughey retires from politics, Michael Carruth wins Ireland's first Olympic gold in 36 years, unemployment reaches record levels and Fianna F?il and Labour will in a few months time do the unthinkable and go into coalition together. Further afield, it is the year Queen Elizabeth II describes as her 'annus horribilis' after fire destroys part of Windsor Castle and Charles and Diana separate, Bosnia is torn apart by fighting, Somalia is ravaged by famine, and Bill Clinton wins the US Presidential Election. Notwithstanding all of this, silage still needs to be cut in South West Cork. The farm is 300 acres, mainly dairy, with 120 milch cows, but recent years have seen the contracting side of the business come to the fore, with most local farmers relying on us. Blue has always been the colour around here, owing to Henry Ford's grandparents emigrating from this part of Ireland seeking their fortune in the New World. Pulling the New Holland 525 harvester is a TW-35, TW-15 mowing, 8210, 7710, 7610 and 6610 drawing, and the brand new 92-C 7840 on the pit. FNHIR
Line-up. The TW-15 is an Ertl model with Britains wheels and cab roof. The 8210 is by Nigel Greene on a TW-35 base. The 7710 is a converted 5610. The 6610 and 7610 are by DBP, only the TW-35 is a 'proper' production model.
FNHIR
People often ask me why I have the letters 'NH' in my name. I just tell them it's random! Here's the 2006 cut, since these pictures were taken the FarmMaster has been upgraded to a 416, and a New Holland T7040 and T6070 have replaced a TM and TS-A First up is the TG230 with Claas butterflies
FNHIR
Raking are a TL100A and TS110A. The TL-A is on a Claas Celtis chassis and the TS-A on a Valtra C chassis
