IH885XLMAN
they dont look the same as manu kits the XL cabs look lower than they should but thats going by what I have seen so maybee the photos dont do the models justice and ive never seen them in the flesh :'( :'( so I cant realy comment F-P bought one i think & he said they where very good
nathan
i thought the cab was a bit short, but my mate said its the ertl one that is wrong! . my mate who is a IH/ case nut job, said when you look at the front it should go in at the top and bottom of the cab. he has chopped and reshaped his cabs so they look right. at this moment he is converting mr fords db 990 so the wheels turn. like i said he is a nutter. evern you got one and used a ertl cab on it could be a option i surrpose

nathan
no just converting it so the wheels go round .
MJB1
there's not many ertl cabs that do look right , the MF 3000 series cab is wrong , the deere SG2 cabs are wrong , & now it seems are the IH cabs , typical ertl , either bang on or nothing like
IH885XLMAN
the ERTL IH 784 cabs look OK but why did they leave the bottom half of the doors on the chassis cast :'( otherwize they would be almost faultless the JD 3140 (secura cab)looks ok but the SG2 looks awfull i must say the rear pillars slant on the model and in real life the rear pillars are 90 degrees (square)almost but thats down to casting purposes i recon ;) I hope manuelle does start the IH 1455xl kits off again as i would buy one off him :'(
nathan
ertl cabs have always been a bit off. the cabs on the JD narrow front wheel tractor (JD 4240 conversions) have the rear pillars at 90 degrees have made mine 90's
