Jez
Ok, that is some serious scratch building. Makes me want to hang up my hat. Might sound a bit wierd but until I actually saw those models I would find it hard to believe they are made from card. I hope you have flood insurance. Excelent by the way, very jealous indeed! scunnysteve
Yeah there defo made of card! To be honest most of them you cant tell they are card you would be hard pushed to tell if they were'nt die cast or not.... Thanks for the comments! james f
Could you explain how you make the decals, what kind of 'paper' do you use and do you have a special printer. Are they like waterslide decals. Also, could you put up some pic of the (Valtra?) tractor in the background of the last pic if you have time, I'm intruiged by the open window :)
scunnysteve
I use a decal paper that my local model shop used to have but now i buy off ebay. you print all what you need, and then seal it with a special sealant liquid, and then you can cut them and slide them on as per water decals. I use MS Publisher to make the shapes etc, its hard but i get on with it. I just use a cheap printer thats bloody good! Ill take some pics of the valtra tomorrow, as im there, its a N121 model, so its a baby one.

IH885XLMAN
I can print the decals for a IH 674 plus i have an old ERTL 784 cab & floorpan thats in the middle of a total makeover its just the matter of fabricating a bonnet for her and the front coweling in witch the 674 grill decal would fit in this post has thrown up some good ideas cheers scunnysteve ps your fathers models are absolutly brilliant is there any tips for cutting ,bending and glueing the card absolute craftsmanship ;) ;)
scunnysteve
NO tips as such becuase its a learning curve every time we use it! Id say use a good quality glue, but not superglue till you get used to the medium! As for bending, use something to bend it round ie pencil etc, works a treat! Cheers
