If im happy with the proto-type engine bay once solid then i dont see why i cant cast it all i need is a rear chassis and IH cabs i think i know someone who makes the 784 cabs just a case of chopping the head line down and taking out the thick rear support member for a thiner type and painting white and the front red ;) dont raize ur hopes up too much im quite slow on all this model building i find it easyer converting photos ;D
Big A
no probs, i 'm happy to wait to see the prototype, i've waited for years to see a model of it made a while longer won't hurt

Yea prbebly a 674 or 475 maybee a 574 :'( thats all the 84 series was realy just a facelift of the 74 series The cabs are very similar low and high profile on the 74 series gear boxes and layouts virtualy the same The thing with these tractors were at the time they pushed the boundry with driver comfort ,power steering as standard optional hydrostatic (574) at a time when ford where still using 6 x family and massey where still useing the 100 series (very good they where too marky) I think the same could be said about john deere where as IH 74 (worldwide range) built from the ground up ;) and looked nothing like the 434s 414 or 614s 634s

I remember they were comfortable to drive and had a nice cab layout. The other thing I recall about them was the torque amplifier and didn't they have symbols of tortoise for slow and hare for fast or something like that? BC
Of course :D I would second that but then I'm bias since I'm into restoring some of the older International Farmalls. I hear what you are saying about money and lack of engineering skills but I got lots of different types of help over the years when restoring from friends relatives and fellow rally goers. It's amazing what people will do for you if they are interested in preservation and of course it helps when you hand them a bottle of whisky for theire efforts!!!!
