Taking the dog out, and came across this a coupla miles from home......."Pearl" are land drainage contractors

The "chute" is actually a dozer blade if you take a closer look...... it looks to be folded up out of the way at present.

Aaah.........should have looked closer, was the curvature on it, that had me fooled!

very nice pics, is that trailer a tipper then?? or has it got a opeing on the bottom to drop the stuff into the trench

no if you look a bit of nip and tuck I reckon the ford 5000 cab could be made to look like the roadless one ;)

Anyone notice that the 7740 has a "blue top" cab and not the white

just wanted to "rock the apple cart again"  :D :D ;D ;D ;D

think it's because it was Pearl's colour scheme ;)

This " blue " roof version is from the early change over period. If you look at the tractor you will see the New Holland leaf logo front badge and a grey engine instead of blue engine but still carrys the Ford decals on the bonnet. This was the livery before the Ford name was dropped for New Holland decals. I drove a 1995 Ford 7840 SL DP that was in this colour scheme. One of the best tractors I ever drove  ;D  ;D  ;D

I actualy remember power harrowing for sugar beet sowing

and there was two of them not even a month old

and that was in 1995 be about april-may  :-\ :'(

That would be about right as I remember mine came home in mid May 1995 just at the time turnip ground was being worked down for sowing

as soon as i saw that first picture i thought i bet deerepower will make one

you cheeky monkey :D when I said I have an idea it's something else I thought about a bit of nip and tuck on the 5000 cab to make it like the roadless cab ;)
