SMurF Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 12 ft laverda header only has 2 sections to the reel As for claas headers there are different size header options http://www.claas.com/countries/generator/cl-pw/en/products/md/lexion-580/tech-data/td_lex58_en_uk,lang=en_UK.pdf http://www.konedata.net/nh_tf42.htm http://www.newholland.com/nh/sertx.htm Quote
NIGEL FORD Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Early Claas' ( 1960s SF,Matadors etc) had 8'6",10' & 12' but the early Dominators (1970s, then went 11',13' 15'... maybe because of the wider track of the bigger machine? Our 2nd hand Dom 80 was quite unusual with 11' header as 13' was the norm but that was one of the reasons for replacing our two 10' Matadors with the one Dominator. If the straw got rained on it wasn't such a big swath to dry out and we shaved the stubble very close as we often needed more straw than we grew so the rows were always thick and sitting close to the soil.
