Nice simple one but makes a big difference. Removed the god awful imber link arms and fitted a proper set. Make it look so much better. Just the hitch to sort now PXL_20230412_152512907.thumb.jpg.f1d91608dba7c6931195c87bcec8d3e6.jpgPXL_20230412_150118475.thumb.jpg.39715e5288f8b64a4ffca8d215737d19.jpg

just drill the rivet out on the series 3 front grill  and same with the other, the line is visable but i thought it was just a mould line, tourns out its a open joint ,i think the later flat front ones will do the same as well, but you wont have the flared  arch  extensions  ,but easily to add to the bodywork  i suspect

Yes I've had the series 3 ones fall off after applying paint stripper, never put two and two together that you could swap them. Infact it's only typing this now I realise that you don't have to scrap a 3 series to do it, as you can simply make the 3 series into a SWB series 2a! Perfect

got the 590 chassis finished and coated in mf stoneleigh grey, weight block sorted as well, and the opening door handles now sorted so the cabs sat masked up ready to paint red, before the silver top half  goes on . and i can then fix the pannels all back on it, guess i need to sort the layout now to put these on, good few other bits waiting paint and finish to fit onto the 3 point linkages as well . also found two more replicagri 188’s i forgot about, so i may yet try a 600 series ? or a 300 series with them

Henri Walker for the decals Sean

i will drop him a message sometime, was hoping for someone closer to home, save the postage costs , have used him plenty of times before, but for bigger bulk orders , so it is worth it then. its been sat a while so a few more weeks wont hurt 😆😆😆

Made up another MF 8S model, I wanted to put this on different running gear to the first one so I used local dealer TNS's brand new 8S.305 demonstrator for inspiration, which for some reason was put on 650/65 R42s which seemed a little small for 300hp, but probably ideal for in the furrow work. I used rear wheels & weights off a 7726S, kept the front rims and put the lovely detailed trelleborg 650/65/R42-----540/65/R30s off a New Holland 7.225

Also picked up a beat up 8740S on the cheap and transfered its smart marker warning boards to the 8S just like the real thing.

Looks great, I have one that is nearly ready for painting. Did you have take the rams apart to paint them ?

A quick run of masking tape around the upper sections should be suitable but it's just as fast to push the two upper sections out of the bottom, paint the bottom, and then push the two upper sections back in. Just make sure you don't loose the two copper spacers inside the ram!
