dwain
A mechanical linkage that automatically adjusts the towing characteristics of an implement like a 3PH plow
Lord Ferguson
Draft is a term used for pulling forces really Matty.... what you are refering to is "draft control".... as in the Ferguson 3 point linkage system... What basically happens is... (and I'll get some pics up later for you)... there is a spring on the top link that senses "force"... when an implement goes to deep the spring senses this and forces the hydraulics to lift up... and vice-verca... Thats the short version... tea beckons... pics and long answer after my tea

allis8550
Draft simply means pulling force, as in draft horses, ie shires and similar breeds. Draft control is a system where the working depth of an impliment is automatically varied in order that the tractor exerts a constant pull [ draft].
