Tractorman810
managed to get the new mould made yesterday,so i can put 16 big blocks out in one set, cant make my mind up whether to go full build in bricks of just the gable ends, and wood clad the front and back wood sounds better as i can put a higher door in and make the whole roof removable for inside access

Tractorman810
will be a new granary building mate, internal silo or two on the right if i can get the right size base tube ,,and a platform on the left, grinding unit underneath , which is fed via a auger from the silo outside, which in turn will feed a tall bin, with hatch on the first floor, to fill the pig meal sacks, thats how our real one worked, the platform was about 3 ft above a trailer bed height wise , so we just dropped them down into the trailer and away they went, currently looking for something to make some hessian sacks from, to form a heap of empties and fulls at the front and for the trailer load

L33 DA17ON
Excellent work as usual. That massy in the pics just sets it off love the wooden gate and fencing. You need to give your self a pat on the back for this build is amazing.

Tractorman810
bit more done this morn after a few jobs, need to wait an hour or two for this to set before i start the angle bits, don't want to go full brick now as with the flooring it weighs a fair bit, as its all concrete as present, but i think in hind sight the mix of wood and stone will look a lot better as the rest of the builds like that anyway, certainly by far the biggest i have made . Tractorman810
thanks guys, the internal finish is just a coat of the concrete as plaster ,which i brushed arround with a very wet paint brush to semi level it , and a wash of white weathering pigment , it has come out better than i thought it would now dry, i have also tried a concrete wash on the finish on the recent build, which did give some interesting shades, like different batches when plastering ,but nothing as nice as this one .
Popular Post Tractorman810
not had much time at it this weekend, as jobs to do, but have managed to get the platform basics in place and built the staircase , so i know the height to make the hammer mill ect for underneath, have also made the form for the meal silo ready to attach the ribbing and top/bottom, also found a previous build, which i repaired ready to become the feed bag trailer, was going to make a new one till i remember this one.
Tractorman810
start on the sack filling bin , its not pretty, but its only a base ,still got ribs and detailing to do, thought i would work backwards in the milling area, so i know it will all fit, think the floor boards may be a bit to wide as well, so need to get something a tad smaller .

Popular Post Tractorman810
start of the reception hopper and auger from the silo outside, our real one was fed this way, when they put the base down they forced a pipe from the granary beside it down via a hole in the floor they cut, into the cone shaped base, so all the feed barley ect got put into the big silo, and the indoor 4 ones , 2 in the granary, and two in the big dutch barn , plus a second outside one on the other side of the granary door were used for the milling and brewing wheat . 9
