Ziko Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Today our new John Deere combine arrived, and what a beauty she is! There's an 18 ft header with it, but that's still at the dealer. I'm sorry about the photo quality. Quote
Tractorman810 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 mmm green or not its nice to see new shiny kit like that, not into my jds ,so quick question, is that smaller than the sts's??? Quote
Ziko Posted January 9, 2008 Author Posted January 9, 2008 @KIWINZ, maybe i'll drive it but i'm not the fixed driver on this machine. We also have 2 other combines, 2x JD 1075 @Tractorman, I think you can compare this one to one of the smaller STS machines. The 9570 STS. Quote
Gav836 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Nice looking machine, we tried one out on demonstration where I used to work but stuck to a Lexion due to the extremely high fuel consumption of the John Deere Quote

rich.new holland Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 she looks nice but if i was driving that the first thing i would do is take the plastic off the seat otherwise you stick and cook on it leant with the manitou just over 1hr of driving it ,off it came :D Quote

Made in Brazil or somewhere like that, and not got that good a reputation Quote
nashmach Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 As far as I know - its basically a 1188 or 1177 in new clothes and different cab - not sure on its reputation - its too new for our area still Quote
Ziko Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 A man with similar thoughts to me - in the field down with the head drive on - no fooling around with a trolley another tractor time wasted etc Why would you need a tractor for that? We just hook up the trolley behind the combine. Thanks everybody! Quote
MODELFARMER Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Why would you need a tractor for that? We just hook up the trolley behind the combine. Thanks everybody! thats just a pain in our lanes and small roads!! big combine and big header, we raced a neighbour this year actually, his new holland and 12ft head and out claas and 10ft. . . .we cut about 1/4 of an acre before he had the dead on and he had 2 men helping him!!! and i baled our straw before i baled his as ours dried quicker!!! Quote
nashmach Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I have seen the same Ricky with a 10ft versus a 14ft combine Quote
