Leakeyvale
Just heard that youngest son, Jim, is in hospital, in traction, having come off his bike during a trackday at Silverstone on Sunday. They thought he had broken his hip but apparently it was dislocated (ouch). Has a smashed knuckle and a broken finger. I suppose it could have been a lot worse and is not unexpected as he has been doing trackdays for a number of years now without ever coming off and he has just gained his racing licence. The only thing he is worried about is getting the video of his accident put on YouTube asap. The bike behind had a forward video camera and captured the entire incident. Leakeyvale
sorry sorry to hear that sue hope he makes a quick recovary ;) I am sure he will - he is not one to let such things bother him but he is expecting to be in hospital for about 3 weeks. Knowing Jim he will be out in 2 Correction -Hospital for 6 weeks because he split his hip as well as disclocated it. He is very bright and positive as far as he is concerned the best bit is his bike is relatively undamaged! He did fit crash limiting accessories so it only has scraped paint and suchlike. Deere-est
Oh jeez that's gruesome, that guy in the loader is going to have some sleepless nights. Poor poor chap and family. Awful thing to happen. :( Bet he will lock the attachments in future, it was a bit silly not to have done so with people working around the machine. denis086
it can easily happen it has happen to many time with us when the quickattach doesnt lock but luckily it usually just falls into the diet feeder or just falls off going over the yard thats the worst of the hydraulic quick atttaches never sure if they are locked the manual lever one is safest
Lord Ferguson
One simple lift into view will soon show you if it's locked or not from the cab seat...I know it's easy being wise after the event... but when these things just hand over the top of the bar you would wonder why it wasn't checked first \
