No worrys mate was working about 10 miles away from you to :D :D so what did u get then?

the auto hitch on my tractor has the brackets on the top yokes missing , so instead of trying to mix & match parts , i decided to fit a complete set up from a 590, but the plates the hooks clip onto don't look right & while takeing my finger to the bone on a bit of metal i forgot to take them off the 590 so will have to go again unless the 168 plates will fit  ::)

ah with you makes sence to swap the lot , prob easier for parts later to if you need then , would any off the 100 series brackets fit? Or are they just per model ie 168 ect

the 100 series can be interchanged with the 500 stuff but the 500 stuff was uprated , & better spec ,  so with any luck the plates on the 168 will be ok :)

James.  The last time I was down at Ron Greet's all the D.B stuff there has not changed much for a few years, theres just piles of robbed out hulks that are just rusting away and nothing much left on them of much use. A lot of tractors they are getting in are now just total scrap or have been extensively robbed out before they get them and anyone looking to go there for D.B parts would be advised to give them a ring first to see if they have what you want. There was a time that when you paid a visit you could find just about anything but it's a lot different now, even the tractors in the first part of the yard as you go in that they class as salvageable are virtually beyond redemption. The best place to look for parts are in the sheds, theres more in them than in the yard.  I visit fairly regularly as they are only 21 miles from me but normaly, if I want bits, either for myself or others, I order over the phone, they deliver my way on Fridays and it saves the bother of loosing the skin off your hands.  ;)
