Mattias71
So I had to buy a new engine, and found one from a 1962 Super Major with very few hours on. A steam wash and some new paint...

Mattias71
And the red one, a 78? VolvoBM T800. Still a great runner after 8000 hours. I have only done some paint job, assemble some holds for the snow plow and assemble more work lights.

jdc
Great job on the Fordson. That is a monster snow plough set up too - could that 2wd tractor be used on that?
Mattias71
Cheers mates! I'll keep you up to date about the Fordson! Its about 106 HP's in the Volvo. There its no probs at all with the snow plows, I have studded rear wheels and chains at the front wheels, So she goes like a freight train in the snowdrifts! :D. I tested her for the first time in snow last Sunday, and after that i decided to buy chains for the fronts... :o

Mattias71
Cheers lads! Ratholderen>> But I thought that Volvo BM 800 series was a common tractor in Denmark ??? Because of that the swedish farmers went to Denmark in the mid seventies for buying Volvo tractors. It was less expensive and whitout the swedish VAT and other taxes to buy a Swedish tractor that way.... \ :-X

Mattias71
Nice tractors mattias i realy love the Volvo Cheers Johny! Its a big step from Ford to a Volvo. It feels like going back to the stone age if you compare her to a Ford at the same age..
