Deere-est Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Wow, what a weapon!! I bet the driver doesn't even know he has got that plough on!! Quote
Richard de Florennes Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 Due to a little traffic jam I used a slightly different way back home after work, leading me through some vegetable fields partly owned by the same big John Deere operator witness the day before. As I saw another John Deere operating on the fields I fough my way through the small roads leading through these fields and found the following: 1st some row-crop implements owned by a smaller farm, incuding a bed former with pl?astic rolls, planters and a small grubber: Quote
Richard de Florennes Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 just passing by was the owner of these implements with a tractor fitting very well to the age and quality of these implements ;-) Quote
Richard de Florennes Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 and now some photos featuring my real farming high-light of the year 2008 so far (me, a row-crop fan!!!): Quote
james f Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 just passing by was the owner of these implements with a tractor fitting very well to the age and quality of these implements ;-) Looks like he fits the age of the implements himself! :D Quote
Richard de Florennes Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 sorry for uploading a few pictures looking quite similar, but with the mass of pictures taken yesterday it is difficult to choose ... Quote
FB Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 nice pics again!! so is that thing on front something that applies fertilizer to the beds? Quote
Richard de Florennes Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 the front thing is a combined row cultivator and row fertilizer, yes. In this case it was used to soften the soil between the rows of parsley and to deliver the exact amount of fertilizer. Quote
Richard de Florennes Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 farming action and the result: loose soil and fertilizer applied (those white perls) Quote
