Richard de Florennes Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Is this modell worth the money. What farming era would the TX66 represent? 1990s or is it a current or even an older modell in reality? Quote
NewHolland2 Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 The TX66 model as represented by ROS represents the years from around 1994 onwards......The earliest real TX66 I know of is an M Registered machine (i.e. a 1994 registered machine)...... I am a big fan of this model and it has been my main combine for at least 6 years......Perhaps not to everyone's liking as some parts are purely plastic and like some ROS models of the time can be slightly loose but on my paticular model the only problem I have is with the auger...... I have posted many pictures of the model on the board in recent times......Check out this topic for some information...... The real TX Range is still in production but with the updated blue decals...... http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=4828.0 1 Quote
Deere-est Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Mart does it steer and does the header raise/lower? Quote
nashmach Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I thought the TX has been replaced by the CSX and the CX Quote
Deerepower Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I thought the TX has been replaced by the CSX and the CX they still make them http://www.newholland.com/h4/products/products_series_detail.asp?Reg=UK&RL=ENUK&NavID=000002235511&series=000005888811 Quote
nashmach Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Interesting that Mark - didn't know that to be honest I note that NH have ceased making small square balers too according to that site Quote
Deerepower Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Interesting that Mark - didn't know that to be honest I note that NH have ceased making small square balers too according to that site you can still get them in places like Australia and the U.S.A. might be not enough call for them over here \ Quote
NewHolland2 Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Mart does it steer and does the header raise/lower? That's it's only down side Tris......The rear wheels do not steer but the header raises and lowers but doesn't have struts to keep it in the raised position...... Quote
Richard de Florennes Posted February 21, 2008 Author Posted February 21, 2008 Thank you very much. Is there any detail in the cab interior? Does the header and the header auger turn when driving on the carpet? ;-) How would you judge this compared to the Jaditoys 8000 series New Holland? Quote
Deere-est Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 For the novelty factor and it's classic status I'd say the Jadi 8000 mate. Henri Walker does a decal kit for it. Quote
Deerepower Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 in my view the jadi nh 8000 is a better looking model Quote
Richard de Florennes Posted February 21, 2008 Author Posted February 21, 2008 ok, thanks these two last testimonials convince me that is was right to spend the 30 Euro for the Jadi NH 8000 adn make her look better with help of decals, some mirrors, lights and maybe some paint ... Quote
Powerstarâ„¢ Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Sorry to say, but the Jadi Toys wins my vote too. Quote

Powerstarâ„¢ Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Because I wasn't impressed with my TX66 at all. Just seems quite cheap and tacky, sorry to offend Mart Quote

Just seems quite cheap and tacky, sorry to offend Mart No worries mate......As the saying goes "Love is Blind" so I just can't see anything wrong with mine apart from the auger...... ;) Quote
