Deere-est
Maize as far as the eye can see, Nick! So 4000ac for fall harvest then, plus what you've done already. That's some serious acreage for one machine. Will it be a brand new replacement or one a season or two old? Dolecheks had a 640 I think. . . may have been an 800 but I can't remember now. Was on wide singles, not duals.

Deeredriver
Interesting Nick. What did the paddock grow the year before? last year it was soy beans our irrigated fields go beans, corn, beans, corn soy beans produce there own nitrogen so we dont have to fertilize them also it then helps out the corn a little too with any left over fertilizer left in the roots of the beans

Deere-est
Is that one of them drive over belts underneath the semi trailer Nick? The Precision combine is what yours is I think. Nice photo's again bud. . . Big old Deeres, nowt better
Deeredriver
Nah pity its not a drive over hopper unloader we just have a big rope and pull it under the trailer by hand not too bad when the grond is smooth but a real pain if the wheels bottom out out on it and it gets stuck on a lump :
Light Land
Why not just chop the maize and make silage Nick? Do the cattle get any grass silage to eat? Place I worked on in Canada feed grass silage and feed barley with little hemp seed to the beef cows and calves via a mixer wagon.
Deeredriver
sorry not replied mate yea the cattle get maize silage too but not much beef cattle dont eat a lot of volume of feed so it has to be as fattening as posible
