AndyB
Its an interesting development in our hobby, these prices. I have recently sold something which made twice as much as a fixer upper than a mint boxed one I bought 6 months ago, a fairly rare piece, but never worth that in my humble. Which leads me to further wonder why prices are so bonkers...... The Britains SG2s are the best current example - they are afterall just a toy and i believe prices will fall back! But are there a lot of folks joing the hobby now versus a year or two ago - without 'the knowledge'? For sellers its great, better than putting your money in the bank, but for those who are starting out, (as i did 25 odd years ago), it is extremely difficult to build a collection without a shed load of money! The trick is not to rush into a bidding war with someone, bide your time, set a limit, stick to it and one will find its way to you eventually - my mantra anyway!

Hajo
Wow, what a price for this implement ... you don't come across a green one every day (or even every week, year ..) but that is a steep price somebody paid.
Hielke
it looks as if these toys are made of solid gold looking at the prices paid.
justy 46
Some green paint can make you money. Doing a paint job on a Acrobat rake would not be a hard job to do.!!

robbo
I saw this one on Facebook last week and now it is on Ebay https://www.ebay.it/itm/RARE-BRITAINS-CONVERSION-LAMBORGHINI-CHAMPION-135-TRACTOR/303626033285?hash=item46b1859885:g:o10AAOSwFzRfEYih Looks as if the seller has used the Ros Same Iron as a base and sprayed the whole thing silver, including the lights. he has then used a black marker pen to colour in (badly) the grilles but he has had some trouble keeping within the lines. No........just NO!

robbo
Yes I agree, rare is an overused description. I have seen it used to describe the commonest items just to inflate the price. The other thing that always puts me off is when they use "L@@K" in the title. No, I will not "l@@k" at your listing if you use that ridiculously juvenile expression in the title, it tells me straight away that you are an idiot and not to be trusted.
