This persons attention to packaging is second to none Sue. I do look on EBay but buy very little from there since I once was a bit disappointed with the packaging and actually I think the box got a little damaged in the process. I got all that 12 delivered for £ 15 via Royal Mail and was flown up from the South of England too. Posted on Tuesday afternoon and arrived at my parents just after lunch yesterday. Got a phone call at work from mum and said dad would deliver to my house since it was a miserable day and he could not get much done outside so he wanted to go for a 15 or so car mile run ;) ;)

The 590 decal is also found in the normal 595 box without the French sticker (as BC's example), and to my knowledge has also been found in the large boxed set (9592), and I believe the MF & Front Loader System set (9595).  As the latter was not released until 1979, it makes the issue of the 590 decal a more open ended phenomenon (were they actually used at a specific time, or was it a case of Britains policy of using things up in operation, or did someone in the factory simply use use the 590 decals without noticing the difference? - sadly we will probably never know for sure).

Can confirm this version ploughmaster as it is the one I have. The rear wheels are different being the open ones I think, can't remember what the rear linkage is though, will have to check and report back...............memory willing

On my one and only visit to Zwolle a few years back I saw a broken version with 590 decal on one side and 595 on the other, in hindsight I wished that I'd bought it, but there you go have a few regrets like this both concerning the two yellow majors

Could we please see the models out of the packing as I am real curious like everybody else to see these lovely items you got.

That persons packing is fantastic. There are actually a few people that care after they have your money I got  an old broken Britain's fiat sent to me yesterday that was for parts. It was packed like a $3000 china tea set.

Then at the other end last month I paid a small fortune for a mint unboxed ford tw 25 and when it came the hole cab and hood was completely smashed. The Muppet threw it in an old cat food box with no proper packing and charged a fortune for it. I was so mad when the comment i got back was " well it was not like that when it left here tough "  It annoys me when you cant get insurance on some stuff to Canada and then the packing is  that poor 100% of poor packed stuff is busted when it gets here and at the price of some of it, it is not funny any more  .

Blimey Bill, you were up early this morning to post these photo's  :of

Thanks for taking the trouble, some very nice additions to your collection.

The Same & bale transporter set is one I've not noticed before.

those are some really nice additions  :of  Love them sets.. Have started myself with collecting the sets in which the Ford tractors are.. it's difficult to find them in a good box, but you have succeeded brilliantly with this lot..

Well Mark I actually tooks the photo's yesterday afternoon and loaded to PB yesterday but did not get round to posting since it 's been a busy week at work and was a bit tired. Woke early today and felt refreshed so up I got ;) ;)

There are quite a few box sets that elude my collection. They seem harder to find and I wonder if they were out for shorter runs e.g. were they done to use up old stock of tractors and implements that were discontinued ??? ???

Yes I'm pleased with the box sets. You never know what I might pick up tomorrow off to a toyfair / swap meet / display etc at Falkirk tomorrow from 11am to 5pm.

Some wonderful Britains sets and individual items you've picked up there Bill and yet again many of which bring back good memories. Until I broke it I spent many happy days 20 years ago playing with a Powerfarm TW-35 lined up on the kitchen floor lino either alongside the Powerfarm New Holland TR combine or Claas Jaguar forager, definitely one of my favourites. As was the dual wheeled Fiat that was bought for me by my Grandma for a birthday along with a yellow version of the post hole borer. :)

Thanks David....I haven't bought a lot of older Britain's during 2009 but I seem to have gone on a spending spree in November and December. Hope to get some more older ones at Falkirk tomorrow. I must finish my not got or wanted list since I was just looking and see my Britain's collection totals 597.

I particularly love the 4f trailed plough and the instructions of how to use it on the back of the box! Now I know how, but i'm still itching to get a boxed one for myself.

This is the last version with the plastic trailing wheel replacing the old lead one?

Nearly 600, crikey, that's very impressive Bill. How long has it taken you to amass all of those?

I was really hoping to get to Star Track tommorow to look for a few that I used to have on my original carpet farm but unfortunately I have work commitments now.

Work..well I work fairly long hour's early and early finish and then sometimes at home but I'm fortunate not to have to work at week-ends... I always seem to manage to get out of working the 3rd of a month and anyway I'm always on the end of a mobile if it is realy necessary.

How long did I get my colllection. Well 16 still exist from BC's childhood Britain's which must have stopped about 1970 or 1971 or maybe 1972 I can't recall.

Then well my real tractor collection came along and No 5 the French Farmall Cub with mid mounted mower came along in 1999 and the restoration of my 1951 American Farmall Cub was finished in June 2000.

With 5 tractors in June 2004 I was at the annual Fraserburgh vintage rally and saw a Britain's No 14775 a Case IH CX90 with loader for £ 10 reduced from £ 17.99 so a bargain and I bought it.

Well went to Perth on 31st October 2004 where Old 20 Parts and Stephen Moat and G&M Farm Models were there and I bought 3 for  £ 29.95

The rest is then history David I was hooked on the Britain's collecting drug ;D ;D

Thanks Bill, really nice to hear about your collecting journey. To be honest I don't mind working Sundays as it gives me an opportunity to catch up with office work and also allows my boss to spend quality time with her husband ( he has Leukemia) so I normally work 3 out of 4 in the month anyway.

Although I had tommorow booked off i've agreed to cover the day due to a number of recent staffing issues that have come to light and also to give my boss a break.

Very few of my 1/32 scale tractors and equipment survived the several car boot sale culls I had. Three that did even after being on the stall were my Siku Fendt Xylon and Deutz 36.10 combine harvester and Britains JCB Fastrac 1135. I'm really glad I still have these.

The one collection I had started when I was younger alongside my carpet farm were the 1/43 scale vintage and classic Ertl tractors, which I have around twenty of.

Now that i'm hooked and have a half decent job to support this very enjoyable "habit" or hobby, i'm considering catalogueing everything I have into a spreadsheet, which is a little bit geeky I know, but not too disimilar to tasks I enjoy doing at work and I quite like the idea of building up a database as my collection continues to grow.

Both mine even the one in the Duck and Egg box has a plastic wheel so I expect this must have been a later boxed Duck and Egg one CMB ???

David ...I have mine on spreadsheet with all sort of detail's David so nought "geeky" with that.

After a while you loose track of what you bought where and from who and at what price or at least I do. Mind you what I do for the daytime job involves loads of spreadsheets so it was natural for me to set one up ;D ;D
