malcy_p Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Spotted this today near Dennington in Suffolk - the only CR9080 on 300mm/36" terra tracks in the UK. According to one of the guys there the tracks have been on and off and on again 4 time so far although the problems seem to be sorted now... Anyway, photos.... I hope he's not looking for his wallet or car keys...! A few more from today up at www.malcp.com. /malc. Quote

NewHolland2 Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Nice pics mate......Some size of machine...... Quote
Tractorman810 Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 intresting looking machine, deffinatly way bigger than anything i usally see, mind you you are lucky to have big filed sup that way one question though, what the hell is that person doing in the last shot?? have they been combines and droped in that straw?? or dropped the keys to that hauling rig the combines unloading into Quote
NIGEL FORD Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 checking for grain over the back of the machine. Nice swath of straw, not chewed-up. There was a tracked machine at the Doe Show, is this it or another make of tracks....? ' will check my photos. Quote
NIGEL FORD Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Doe show one had "The Future of Harvesting" logo on it in very large letters, but the running gear is the same so perhaps they are still demo'ing that one and this is the first one sold other than that? Quote
Tractorman810 Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 just wondering, do these tracked machines feel any different to drive then?? steerings as normal, but do they run as smooth better worse ect?? nothing like that round when we farmed see so no experiance with them Quote
malcy_p Posted July 21, 2008 Author Posted July 21, 2008 As this was the first field harvested with the owner's new toy I guess he was checking the losses out of the back of the machine - I was going to ask but he jumped into a Hilux and disappeared before I got a chance... \ Quote
Lord Ferguson Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I can remember.... as an apprentice... laying down a square meter and trying to count the grains the machine had lost over the sieves and walkers :'( :'( Oh... and HOURS spent inside the hood trickling grain over the 'new fangle' RDS grain loss monitors - basically tubes full of some chemical (parafin I think) \ Quote
