powerrabbit
Never seen one 'in the flesh' but it is said that it exists. Britain's did experiment with various colours in the early stages of production of implements so anything is possible.
Tractorman810
only seen one once on ebay, and it looked a little to clean to be real i must confess, but as mentioned theres a lot of colours out there, and they did blue for most including the glenco harrows, ploughs, old rollers and discs, so why not the mueldozer
CMB
I only wish I printed it when it came up on Ebay! When I saw it (early 2008) I assumed it was in the factory colours of a re-release of the 60s original, but you've added to my suspicion that it was a just a respray/repainted 60's model. matts tractors
hi blue muledozers do exist they are very rare and came in the gift set 9596 1966-1968 with ford 5000 super major and 5 other implements the last boxed set i saw sold was at auction and made 1700 quid cheers matt
super6
As noted elsewere these date from the 60's. There is a picture of 9596 in Peter Barons book BRITAINS Fordson, Ford, & New-Holland Toy Tractors. This set has the 5000 Super Major My first, a purchase from Zwolle a few years ago. Almost complete, the usual damage My second came from Toytrack, when at Farmer Giles, bought with tractor and some implements plus the information, regarding implements, cut from the back of the box. This repair was made before I bought it My third, an eBay purchase from last year. All complete all together, as you can see there are colour variations here
CMB
My third, an eBay purchase from last year. All complete Ah this is probably the one I saw (and the one that got away). Thanks for this super example super6 BTW, what is that attachment on the back of the Fordson? Would it be of any use on a later 5000? .Chris
CMB
Thanks Tam. Can anyone point me to an example of an adaptor in use, or perhaps post a picture?

CMB
Thanks again. Is/was there an equivalent in real life, or would the rear link assembly be enough to lift it? (I've never seen a disc harrow being towed on the roads)

A Ford 5000 super major and a blue Muledozer were part of this buy. Searching this forum on how rare the blue Muledozer is, i stumbled upon this post. A quick search with google, Made me realize that i bought the complete giftset. Only the box is missing. The tractor suffered some damage (broken rearfender) and was missing the exhaust and airfilter. But the other items are nearly brandnew.
super6
Nice find, presumably it has a silver painted blade? If the sacks are rubber don't keep in/near the link box or any other plastic implement as you will get the sme reaction as the tyres/wheels

I will check the sacks and if they are the rubber type, remove the before it’s to late. Thanks for the warning.
IH885XLMAN
But was it re issued in 1985 ? Aswell
super6
2 hours ago, IH885XLMAN said: But was it re issued in 1985 ? Aswell No. First released in 1959 at same time as the new Fordson Major, as 174F, becoming 9537 in 1962 when the numbering system was changed to the 9000 series. Deleted end of 1979 along with the front/rear mounted Buck Rake. Late ones appear to come with a silver sticker on the blade, see Colour Variations Thread by Sean (Tractorman810) I think his example is in here! I think it was only available in blue with the large display set 9596 as shown above, although one in the packing case box came up for sale a year or three back. I suspect that one originally contained an orange Muledozer, examining the box carefully for orange paint might reveal the truth! I have not seen any other blue ones boxed like this but, knowing how Britains operate, never say never Edited December 31, 2021 by super6 more info
