VINTAGE WORKING DAY AT DAVIOT NEAR INVERNESS 20 SEPTEMBER 2008

not sure yet

Well I was there from 8.45 to 2pm and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not as many working exhibits as what we have at our local working day in May at the BA Stores at Dunecht  but I can see Strathnairn being an up and coming event. Assuming it does not clash with Lanark next year I'll be back ;) ;)

Some great pics of what looks like another enjoyable event that you have attended Bill.

Is that a nice looking model Ford 7810 2wd pulling the Keenan feeder in the model cow shed :-\

I like your shots of the County's and the Ford 2000's both original and restored. Also there is a nice looking Ford Escort RS2000 lurking behind a dexta in one of the pics :)

Yes it was a really nice show Mark given this is only the second year and although wet and muddy underfoot on the stubble field it was fine dry and sunny above which always makes these events more enjoyable to attend.

Not too sure if the model was a 7810 or not but it was exhibited by a chap from Caithness and the buildings came from Graham on here.

I can see you like Ford and Ford related makes so I'm sure you would have been in your element at the event. ;) ;)

Yes that was a Ford RS200 circa 1977 behind that car. That was my dream car back then test but never did get one on the basis I would not have been able to afford one let allow insure it. I wasn't so keen on the yellows ones it would have had to be a red one... Venetian red might have been the Ford red around that time. Anyway I did get a Ford and it was red and also S reg but it was a bog standard Fiesta 950 ;D ;D

Yes you are spot on Mark it is a 7810. Apparently it was made / converted by a chap who featured in the Classic Tractor magazine a few years ago but ... I can't recall that article... i get too many of these tractor magazines to read cover to cover. The tractor behind the 7810 is a Ford 6640 conversion by Martin Smitts of Holland.
