Tellarian
Nice to see dry land.. Contractor Dave Marshall was having problems harvesting land-locked fields on Edward Muntz's Umberslade Estate, nr Hockley Heath near Solihull because the fields were so saturated. The combine was moving - because it is on tracks - but the difficulty was getting the grain out of the field. He solved it by hiring in a Bell B30D dump truck which has a capacity of about 30t but very low ground pressure. The machine is pictured here working on 14 September. Andy Jenkins, from the firm who hired the truck, said: "The machine, even when loaded with a higher capacity load than I was told their conventional tractor and grain trailer could move, barely left a mark on the soft ground in their fields. It certainly didn't cause ruts or get bogged down (or risk overturning) as a standard tractor/trailer outfit would have done."
ertlerik
It has bin a little wet here but nothing that bad, i would say harvest is about a week behind normal, so not really anything to worry about, talked to one farmer today and he was pleased with the way things were going and yields were good. OK on with the dutch harvest, a NH T7520 with a holars onion harvester.
ertlerik
And the last action for today, potato harvest with a JD 6430 pulling a Grimme GZ1700 and a JD 2850 and 2140 on trailer duty.

ertlerik
is it just me? or does the person driving the agrotron 260 look like james may? \ nice pics mate not to many masseys thought :'( You are on thin ice mate, telling a pretty lady she looks like James May. Not to many massey's 675, 399, 3080 all classics, and that 675 like new same owner as the 7710. Erik.
ertlerik
Thank you all for the nice comments, my favorite pic is the FORD 7710 coming down the road, i had to jump in a ditch to get this camera angle, to bad there are no original front weights on it.
