  1. It was a white metal kit from an original Britains Body of a Fordson New Performance Major. Because it is always difficult to find original Front tires, I searched for a solution for this problem. So i had a front axle from a Britains Deutz complete with tires. I took the original front axle pin from a Fordson and so it was no problem to fix the Deutz front axle.

Now i took the big Rear wheels of another Britains model like Ford 6600 and with some heat water they come over the Fordson DDN Metal centres.

Because the difference from this conversions from the Tractor body to the ground is bigger, than at the Fordson original, I took a Ford 6600 metal linkage and so I can use all Britains Implements like the plough at the pic. The Exhaust is from a Ford 5000 with a longer lower part from Brass, Air filter from Ford 5000 too.

The headlights are white metal Parts from the Bitains Fordson New Major.

So all Parts are from Britains Models.

Excuse for my bad english, I will show another pic.

  2. Hello,

I`m searching for pics from the different versions of the LWB Landrover. How many versions of farm LWB were made? I have one version with the farmer and dog from my childhood made ca. 1972.

Another model I saw, had different wheels and doors, should be older? Could someone help?

    Thanks Blueford

  3. Hello Richard,

I think all you wrote is correct. My comments are exactly the same. I?m not angry and I think Andy did a good job to offer us a FTF Model. But I?m disappointed about the production from RC 2. I have the same problem with an often used modell like the tipping trailer. The Implements could`t not fit. If RC 2 could`nt produce a linkage for all Implements, why didn`t made they a linkage like an oiriginal, where everyone knows you could`nt fit the Britains Implements. So we have no disappointment and know that the new Ford Models are only for Collectors to put them behind a glass shelf.

I will do now a restauration of an old MF 135 and I think the job should be so good, to use thinks like the disc mover on it.

The fun with the old Britains things make me hope.

  4. Hi Fans and collectors from Ford Models,

I?m disappointed about the new Britains Models 5000/6600. Why?

    1. no Steering

    2. Grill without Brilliant lights

    3. The linkage is not correct, Britains Implements doesn?t fit, for Example my old tipping trailer is not compatible with the hitch, the whole at the trailer to small? No could?nt be, because all of the tractors from my collection are suitable. So I think the hitch is not correct.

    4. the front wheels are to big

    5. no Driver

    6. the cab is not bad, but the older cabs have more realistic details, Example the door handle and the door hinges

    7. I think the sizes are not correct

This is not a progress, everyone is advice to buy an old Britains Ford and restore. Than you have better models with functionable hitch and linkage and more realistic.

I?m to 95 % a Britains collector, but the Model from Siku of the Deutz D8005 showed the way, which a manufacturer can go. An excellent modell, with a perfect steering and a small price.

This should be motivation for Britains to make better models.

I got 2 FTF Models 6600, for my opinion later than planed, but thats OK. I know about problems with China shipping.

But I send two mails to Andy, because one of the models had no air filter in the package, very big disappointment. And no Answer from Andy, how long I must whait for the Air filter?

I hope Britains will go a new way like the 70s, the older Britains models where even better than siku and UH today.

    So I?m in hope!

  5. I think the paint and so the Fordson Body could be original. But I think the steel wheels and spade lugs are from another model. Could be original too, but taken from a blue one?

And so put the spade lugs and the Yellow body together, a rare model we never seen, is converted.

    Possible? But who knows.

Look also at David Pullen Britains Model Tractors side 112. Their is a notice of a yellow Fordson with Tail-lights on mudguards and Ford style 1 rear wheels. This explaines the version of the yellow rear dump with Ford wheels, promotioned with this Fordson.

    What do you think?

  6. Hello,

I order my parts for restoring or customizing from Henri Walker or Towse Trading. From Walkerparts I have the Catalogue 2004-2005. For me is Henri Walker faster, because he must send to germany (ca.2-3 Days). that goes from England one week, but thats OK too. He made things possible, you don?t think the parts are  still available. For example I got the wheel centres for my JD 3650 in the section Tractor Customizing. The paints are very good. If he has a new catalogue, I will order it, because I?m curious what customizing are possible with new parts from him.

    Best compliments for Henri Walker

  7. Hello Steve,

a never seen Fordson collection. Congratulations. My heart will laugh. I have one question about a model from my collection, to a special Fordson Collector like you. In my collection I have a restored Fordson and an old rear dump. Is it possible that the Wheel centres at the rear dump are original? I saw the old Fordson style centres ever at the yellow industrials, but the blue dumper with the Ford style centres. Could you help?

  8. Hello,

I have this one too, but only with a white floor, I got it ca. 1971 and played with it at my own childhood. It was ever one of my favourite models, to drive behind a Ford 5000 force or MF 135. I like it for the movable boards. Unfortunately the tailboard isn?t there, so I made one from metal. If there is one old tailboard in your collection, please offer. This version has a whole in the floor and the cow was at this floor with a screw. I have two cows with the whole more, one in black/white, the other brown/white. All three are dated 1970.

Because this trailer was always liked by me, I made a conversion last year, pics were at this forum.

For all fans from this trailer, I post the two pics.

    I like it. Blueford
