been swapping my van over today,i am now the non proud driver of a fiat ducato, sadly its half the size of my old transit, although according to fleet its the same cubic meterage in the back, what they neglect to say is ,the way the have bodge racked it out you can only half fill it with the kit i have to carry, once all the signage and saftey gear i need to carry by law is on,i only have 3 750mm wide by 400mm deep shelfs to put any actual stores on,which is barely 1 skills worth, i regularly swap between at least 3 over an average week, sometimes in a day, so no idea how i will manage now, suspect its going to mean more driving back and forward to the yard to get stores per job,not just go direct to it, great when we go anything up to 2 hrs from the yard distance wise . but hey its got a 240 v inverter and microwave in it which is what all engineers have wanted apparently
Shaun I have escaped the changeover of my 56 plate transit and it is still not down for changeover, I will say you will never get a another HOT brew again .......I have not heard a positive work about any of the new vans "Everybody gets what nobody wants"

Well Shaun if your fleet workshop is like mine it will take a fortnight for a replacement mirror... I am still waiting for a front grill after a pigeon strike....... I should be hitting a milestone this week 100000miles

hopefully will get it finshed for tractor world

i was thinking about tractor world at malvern there not many if any two day shows out skirts of the midlands m5/m6 m42 there is room to expand a little but if we get positive feed back and passed on to the organisers we could request more space.
i think Andy, Shaun, marky,Tris , Gavin and Barry have been there and seen whats there and the possibilities for the world of model farming...
for example the market garden tractors and implements how much that display has grown in the last few years at malvern
best of all come and have a look for yourself

Me and benjamin had a great weekend worth a trip up from the midlands a great venue and enjoy it every year.( first time for ben) he was so chuffed comming 3rd in the junior class he has taken his rosette to school we both enjoyed meeting everyone new faces and old ... and good excuse to have some of my old britains on display along with scaled down layout which ben took great delight to changing when i was't looking ...... ;D
i got home back about 7pm unpacked in the workshop best journey home yet no delays must of been the fog looking forward to next year

well i have been saving up for a while ,i was against buying anymore colour versions of fendts as the cost, i have most of the l fendts made by wise, u'h wiking in 1/32 and thought that was enough and getting expensive
But i have just got the fendt 820 in white only reason being it goes with the three non white fendt tractors i have so easier to display whilst on my travels toytrac, lakeland ,malvern etc
also brought a siku xylon like joe for a future project ;) and a challenger big baler as it was a right " leslie crowther" THE PRICE WAS RIGHT :) :) in fact a right bargain
and a few bit and bobs for toytrac layout may get to posting some pictures soon of purchases
still undecided what to take to toytrac one thing it won't be as big as last year
What have you been doing or plan on doing today?

Sean,
Surprised they have not got you loan in's on lodge if things are that bad. I know that cabling work has all dried up on our patches so some are are working out of area or even parked up in the yard
