Thanks. I will have a go

Wondered if anyone could suggest the best way of removing the new Ford 5000 bonnet without damaging the paint.
-
Depends on tractor weight, tyre size, 2 or 4WD, type of 4WD, the driver and ground conditions. Silsoe Research before it closed conducted standard tests under standard conditions that could be used to compare different tractors. Similar tests were/are conducted on mainland Europe and USA.
A good driver who carefully adds weight to his/her tractor to match the implement will acheive the best output.

1996 version was labelled Forestry Enterprise
-
This model was produced in 1992 and was only sold through Forestry Commisson Shops. I do not think there was a set. The run must have sold well because Britains added a Forestry Commisson LandRover to the cat. in 1996. The standard 1996 version is different from the limited run.

The scale cannot be far out.
Pickup width on Britains model measures 72 mm times by 32 gives a real width of 2304mm.
NH Spec states BB960A has pickup width of 2246 or 2400 mm depending on whether fited with Rotor Cutter.

No idea about the containers but the pallets are ok, a bit small though...... \ ;)
Thanks

Never seen, both 1/32, in the shops. 50 pallets ?2.79, 4 containers ? 11.99. Are they any good?

I am glad you are not asking because I would think one would need to look back at stream driven equipment to find the answer.
-
Before the pto was introduced belt driven equipments were common. The standard belt speed was 3100 ft/min. Thus I would guess the pto speed was originally choosen to provide some compatability with belt driven equipment. Prior to 1958 the standard pto speed was 536 rpm. In 1958 this was raised to 540 and a second standard ie 1000 rpm was introduced for high hp tractors.

If this competition is like others I think you will find the answer somewhere in the article/s.

I understand they will be stocking Britains once their extension is complete.

Britains 1998 catalogue shows 3 (all 1:64) combines as part of the Junior Farm Range.? I have seen both the JD & IH combines but never the New Holland.? Anyone know if it was ever actually released as part of the Junior Farm Range.? Was it any different form the Ertl version?
