Grove farm is based in Somerset. loosely based on grove farm in Blackwell in fact, although some buildings have been cut out or altered to fit within the space and work as a model farm.
so it started out when Reg gray built the dairy section with the cubicles on in 2020 the parlour was latter added the following year. Then after one of my many visits to him I prompted him to build the machine shed and beef shed section. This was all done and ready to show for the return of toytrac in 2022.
I then took ownership of the farm after toytrac as Reg didn’t have the space to continue building the rest of the farm, and between us are currently working on more sections of it.- 13

Just did a rough pricing of fuel to get there and back… almost 3 figures . Would also mean a 4am start to get there just in time for the start of the show if I was displaying. Don’t think il be attending
Similar story for me Jack, although we’ve always stayed over night. It’s not a cheep day out by no means. I’d save ur pennies for toytrac ha ha!

Normally over here, proceeds go to charity and tables, are free for exhibitors.
How it should be diorama tables were free to exhibitors at Carlisle in November so no not all shows charge over here.

No I won’t be displaying there anymore. the price of tables is just to much I’m all for supporting the show with a small entry fee, but for 6 tables to put my farm on is £37!
I spend enough money building them and then haul it across country at my expense, I don’t earn nothing for being there. but yet the show benefits with my display being there.
no displays means no show it will become a shop that you have to pay to enter.- 3

I won’t repeat myself, but my self and a lot of peaple would surely agree. all subscriptions should have been refunded as soon as the mag stoped! And definitely before it was sold off to a new company.

Brilliant photos and well done on your 1st place in the competition. Is one of the majors and the brace of grey fergys new additions to the fleet?
Thank you. The gray fergy with loader is a new addition as an exdemo model. And the new fordson is a second had buy. The other new tractors u see is a combination of local naybours out to help us.

And so we’re clear the exhaust is staying silver who doesn’t love a chrome pipe on a tractor. even if it is 1968. I’m not very knowledgable on the time period me a zac are doing and one of the reasons I got zac onboard was his knowledge in older merchineary. but I thought it would be a fun challenge and a learning cerve at the same time.
