Next job on the list is to try and get the cab off, the cab and floorpan come off easy enough its getting the cab away from the floorpan. The cab has tabs above the rear wheels like uh models but not screwed, the tabs are glued so that will be attempted at the weekend

Something like this might be of some use there Paul, Superglue debonder,

  2. Pardon me butting in here but isn't there something in this lot that might make a reasonable donor, I'm not upto speed on the IH brand, but I like them as when I was a nipper, my late father drove a B250, of which I have a model, then as a slightly bigger nipper he drove a B275, And quite some time after that he got a 674, the best looking tractor I think he ever drove,

Thank you Joe, yes it was a clever design for raising and lowering the elevator. The best place was at the bottom loading it, i always ended up at the top though!

Yep same here, then getting a million volts up your arm flipping that kill switch onto the spark plug,:(

have a scan through farmodels.nl, , you may need to go through a few of the sections in the parts area, but they have loads of parts available. postage can be a bit high from holland, but theres ways round that via another seller who buys in bulk and then sorts uk postage once all the customs stuff is done ,if the bits you want are there i can then post that link for the uk guys

All that kinda stuff used to be available though Mania-CN Sean, I spent ages looking for it this morning, But it looks like they've reduce the amout of items they now make, They also had a whole load of different discs as well but all I could see were the ones on here via Universemini,

  5. Thought I'd put this here as it might be useful for anyone else interested in the World of 3D printing, pleased and amazed how well this sketch / print went, I noticed when I posted the pics, there were 2 or 3 flaws in it, The wheel track was to wide, and the front hydraulic steering was a mess, So I had to figure out how to bring the rims in closer to the chassis without reprinting both the front and rear axles, I figured recessing the hubs would do that by letting them go deeper into the rims, The yellow one is an original, The black one is shortened, to improved the hydraulic cylinders / rams I made U shaped brackets with little dimples on the inside to act as pivots instead of the huge pins on the originals, Hope that might be of some use to anyone with similar issues. And I straightened the air intake,:D

  6. I have a few 1/50th, But stopped buying them in about 2006 as they were getting too expensive, One of my favourites was the model of the Demag H485 520 ton Hydraulic excavator which at the time was the biggest excavator in the World, and worked just 30 miles from me at an opencast mine which is now the site of The Falkirk Wheel,

that will be pete the guy who did them for the show, not sure if its unfair, he prob wont have made a huge amount on each one he did for them anyway, so why not make a bit of profit, as we always say “you don't have to buy “

I noticed earlier that Pete and Sharon have stopped selling their decals and accessories, Baz at Udimore is handleing them now.

    Regards

    Joe.
