No I did not, never thought of a Zetor (8441 you mean?) having portalgears. (That's basically because I don't have one) Thank you for the advice Sean! Just 2.5mm to short for the 8860! (And that would mean the X550 and the 3X7 couldn't be built on this chassis)
-
Thanks! I hope the will be as nice as your MF/EBRO's ;-)
-
Rest of the pics: The X550 and the 3X7 will get a converted Valtra C chassis. Landini used portal gears, the Valtra C hasn't, so I think I've to make a mold, for these axles.

@Johny:
November, at the LCN show, but I hope it will be ready this summer ;-)
I've got an update for now. Three tractors, all from Italy 2/3 in blue:
The tractors are a 8860, a X550 (I'm not sure about the type yet, probably a 6550) and a Massey Ferguson 3X7 series.

This is the project I'm working on, at the moment. It's going to be a Landini 8860. It's for a builders challenge of the Dutch forum.
The base of this tractor is a McCormick CX. The enginehood, mudguards and muffler are built by some members of the Dutch forum, who've made the prototype too. The linkage is a converted PMA #4. The tractor will get a frontloader, which i will build completely self. The portal gears, which Landini uses will be made by me too. In the back there will be a big weight.

Hmm, yeah, you're right. I didn't notice the picture on it. This was the first thing I could grab and which fitted a bit (the other wheel broke when the tractor fell), which means the tractor's of good qualityhmmmm don't think the lighter in that picture really should be on ftf

Landini 8860 DT. This one is based on a UH McCormick CX. I've changed the body by using a portal gear, which has to be changed. It isn't good enough. It will get a realistic linkage in the back, with a big weight and a front loader (kind of what I call chickenbarn equipment).
This tractor is made out of a kit (consisting of 2 mudguards, a ROPS, engine hood, a muffler and of course stickers) sold by the Dutch forum, for the builders challenge they organise this year.
Modified to remove the image, if you can find another then please repost but be careful what is in the photo please

This tractor was a Landini (not sure, but I think it's a 10000). In some countries (for example Germany) Landini's were not sold, but they were painted red and sold as MF. You remember the MF 284S by Siku? That one has the same story.

Where did you take the conveyorbelt from? Looks like a rubbertrack. Right?
-
Looks nice, Johny! Going to plan more versions?
-
I've seen it yesterday. It looks very good.
fordcrazy001: Now he's seen the inside, so he can build a tank as well:-P

Not really, it will be an IH 845XL. You will have to use a 956XL hood, with some adjustments. The tractor can be used for many tractors. (But only tractors with four cylinder engines!) I'm not sure if English types can be built of it.
About the 4240XL: You can use a McCormick MC engine hood and interior. Henri Walker can sell you mudguards (OK, those are European guards) and a XL cabin. Maybe you could use a Réplicagri 845XL as well, for the body (the engine is the same, but without turbo)

Well, John. This machine looks awesome. I hope my 8770 will be as nice as this one!

This is the model Henri used for the resin kit. It's Ertl's stock #66. Not sure, but I thought it's only with cab. The IH version of this Ertl model (stocknumber I can't remember) Is without cab or mudguards.

Looks better, with Trelleborgs on it!
-
John,
Your tractor looks great! It's better to see now, than which you showed me last Friday ;-) Perhaps you should make another, with the (converted) Amazone behind.
-
Yes that's the one, what is it for,
Regards
Joe.
It's to keep pressure on the front axle of your tractor. I think, Geoffrey can tell much more, than I can. So I hope he will answer as well

Thomas,
dein Modell sieht wie gesagt wunderbar aus! Und es ist ein Modell was man nicht altäglich sieht in den diversen Foren. Würd sagen: mach weiter so! Vor allem mit den nicht alltäglichen Maschinen.

Sjoerd
Impressed now?
I said:
Thomas,
As said, your model looks wonderful. It isn't a model which you don't see everyday on the miscellaneous forums. I'd say: go on! Especially with the uncommon models!

In Holland the pickup hitch is not common. The tanker will either coupled to a drawbar, or to a tipperknob. I don't think the original owner of the Veenhuis does have something which is not common. Right Geoffrey?
I must say, it looks fantastic! Are you gonna build more of these?

Sjoerd

There could be another solution: make a cast in resin (or white metal) of the back (or just the axles) of the Zetor.
