Next Sundays Inniscarra Show (August 30th) will have a new attraction for all attending with the Broomhill Tractor Building team doing a demonstration build on during the show. The Broomhill team consist of  Coach Tadgh Murphy, Captain Stephen Sheehan,Danny Martin, Greg Cronin, John Joe Dennehy and Tractor owner Paul Murphy. Coach Tadgh Murphy had seen the Mountbellew Tractor builders in action in Galway and felt that he could put together a team to challenge them. The Broomhill got two of the Galway team to call down to Cork to help them get off the ground and began serious training in April 2009.The Mountbellew team were back down to Cork at The Tractorworld Show near Fermoy on the May weekend and completed the build in around nine minutes. The Broomhill group did their first demonstration build in Coachford on the June Weekend. They had made a lot of changes to the original way of building (all top secret) and were after taking a lot of time off their rivals. The big day came on the 27th of June in Coachford when they went head to head with the Galway team and posted a record beating time to the delight of the huge crowd of spectators of 7mins 2sec versus Galways 9 mins 24 secs. The clock stops when the tractor starts . Time penalties apply for loose bolts and missing parts and the lift arms have to work. The tractors used are TVO Ferguson 20 which start easier than the diesel models that airlock when dismantled. The Inniscarra build is part of the teams preparation for the All Ireland Finals in Cavan on October 11th where four teams will compete.

The tractor build website is www.ferguson20 build.com.The group supports The Aware Charity and make a collection for the charity on the day
