Pingu Posted December 19, 2006 Share Posted December 19, 2006 definetly out live the MF anyway :D :-X :-X i'm not gonna bite the jobs all about getting it done properly not how fast the tractors can go :D hauled silage with a 3080 30k with a chap with a 3095 + 40k & there was very little difference in it . got to the hills & the 40k had to be shifted down a few gears , my 30k just kept pulling in top there was another chap with a case-ih1594 & he was faster than the 40k altogether ! Depends on the type of roads your on marcus if on windy roads etc 40K does make very little difference as can only go so fast, but if got hauls on long straght roads none of our machines fall below 40K and if you do you fall out of synch with the combine, we had a 30K machine on a long haul (25miles) along with the fendt 926 (50K box) and Renault 735RZ (40 K box that can do 45K) and both managed to get there and back on the haul in the time it took the 30K machine to just get there and really screwed up timings with the combines. All roads were single carriageways with little places to slow up even the hills were long enough that the tractors didnt struggle at all.
