Cheers again for the comments I am due to go back to my workshop over next few days before I return to my day job on the 11th,so much you can do with the Britains Mog,I also have other projects on ,including ford 4600 four, 595 4wd, county 1884 with floaties, to name a few, all for the same guy ,so look out for more pics soon ,and meanwhile ,here is another colour variant of the classic Mog.
-
yeah I know ,its like we'll just diguise it an hope no-one notices, also some decent 2wd tractors wouldnt go a miss, had a thought too bout a pasture topper and a back mount cattle crush ,now theres a convo project if I ever heard one!!britains are a bit odd ,like you say with the marston trailer but what realy does my head in is when they bring out differant colours of an old implement
-
tha Mog actually was a project but I would guess from start to finish including paint dry times etc about 3 pos 4 hours ,including the odd cuppa. That's smart, How long it take you and are you goin to bemaking more then one?

Thanks for the comments guys ,I have actually made several versions ,this one green body /white chassis/red wheels, all green/black wheels, and all green/red wheels, I also did one recently in yellow with a green tipper and a drum winch(will post some pics of this shortly) the paint I use is standard Halfords tin spray paint, the green is Rover Applejack,as near a claas green as I could get,and the white colour is Vauxhall glacier white, primer is white metal primer ,(PS thanks to Dave Purdue for the spraying tecnique tips) all tins are about?4.99 each but look out for Halfords special offers ,sometimes they do a 3 for 2 offer, onto the decals ,they are waterslide decals purchased ,believe it or not ,off e-bay,I bought a job lot of waterslide decals form a guy who was selling up and managed to bag a bargain lot.thanks again for the comments ,I will be posting some more of my conversions soon .rgds Kev

Hi Kolpen ,thanks for the search bud ,much appreciated ,the first prototype is now living in Clitheroe Lancashire England with my best mate Paul Whitehead ,who gave me the idea to do it ,if I can pry it from his hands for a weekend I will photograph it and post or e-mail you some pics ,but the basics are as follows ,Paul purchased a Siku Control JD 6920s and I went to work splitting it down and discarding any unuseable parts to the spares box ,then I took a Britains 7500 forager, split this down and started to position the drive motor and the other components into the forager ,obviously a bit of cutting and re-inforcing was needed as was a bit of patience and a steady hand ,but hopefully I can get a few pics and show you the finished product and the internals ,as for No 2 it is a pile of bits just now until I get that perfect diff,I have found one on e-bay that might do ,its in an X-Mods Honda Civic,Cant complain if the part is from The Power Of Dreams (My favourite cars) but will keep you posted on the progress, thanks again, rgds,Kev

Yo Rich ,yeah never thought bout that one ,how bout the Reco Mengele with its own power unit ,saw one recently at a farm near us ,quite a beast, any other thoughts then on implements ? I know there are a few chopper conversions on the go ,a totall revamp of the Marston trailer ,It would be half decent if it had a metal chassis, and a plastic body, but thats just sensible! \ a proper rear hedger and rear digger mc connell perhaps and maybe a decent lowloader for behind the fastrac(think someone else posted a topic on this) saw a baaaad a## one in Ireland ,had a huge hitachi excavator on the back and the fastrac was kickin up some reek ,(as we say round our parts) ha ha! bout time Britains brought out some decent implements tho.
-
I think its time Britains made a proper drag chopper or forager,I dont mind what ,RECO ,CLAAS JAG ,or even a JF ,as long as it has a decent grass header!
-
Nice lookin beast fella,I made a TV 140 recently on same principal

Well picked MF550 up and went to toy fair at Shepherds Inn ,Carlisle ,very poor ,Brian Holmes did his back in so couldnt make it but did get a silver John Deere 6520 off some dude for 23 quid, and a chap called Colin from Kendal was there with some nice bits and pieces, and thanks to Margaret for the 2 case MX 135's ,they ready for strip down so I can use chassis for my 40 series fords ,so not bad really.
