Ahh yeah! Well it could well be a DM4, i will find out the serial number and have a look when i go back to work

Cerin...are you sure it is a 3 pot and not a 4 pot . It's doesn't look like the Nuffield 3 to me since I am not aware of them have the sliding rear hubs but I could be wrong. If it is a DM 4 them it earlier than October 1957 the age of my one since yours has earlier front wheels. There should be a gold / black coloured plate on the front right hand side of the main engine chassis if you follow my description. However not all these plates survive. If it has a plate could you let me have the details please and I will be able to find out more information from my Nuffield books. The Nuffield 4 were fast on the road so good for road runs but the chances are your steering could require attention...is it slack and wobbly
Well i am just going by the photo, the looks of things theres only 3 ports going out on the exsaust manifold! There is a V5 for it which i havnt got yet so that will have the date when it was registered on it, i will see if i can find the plate on it mate. I remeber seeing one i think, but wont be able to find out till after christmas as its at work! Yeah thats right, and the steering dose need attension its rather slack and wobbely haha!

Looks quite a restorable tractor does the 165 Cerin and with all the parts that are available you'll have no problems in bringing it back to as new. The Nuffield looks like a 3 cylinder so would be a DM3, if it's a 4 cylinder then it would be a DM4. good luck with them. New sparkplug leads (HT leads) for Flossie will be no problem for you, you can buy the lead by the metre but when you do, make sure that you get the black type with the copper wire core. If you have trouble getting it I have a 100 metre roll of the stuff.
Yeah thats what i thought Tim easy enough to get the parts and its worth spending the money! And yeah now you have said that it dose look like a 3 cylindar looking at the exsaust manifold, DM3 it must be! Yeah cheers for the info i think i can get hold of some, i will make sure its the stuff you have said about first!

Hello everyone! Its been a long time since i have posted on the forum, since then alot has happened and ive bought 2 more tractors
First of all early this year i was looking for a tractor to go through and restore as a project, so when the massey 165 came up on a local farm just off the yard scraper i soon snapped it! She is rather rought so theres plenty to do, i havnt really started anything on her yet but tha main thinks that need attention are, brakes and clutch. Costmetically she needs a full respray and new back wings and the back wheel rims are a ***** worse for wear . I think its from 1967 cause the date registered on the V5 is 20/03/67. My plan is to do her right up to show condition, might take a while haha
Heres a more recent picture of Flossie the Te-20 parked next to an new holland tl100a from where i used to work , shes going well but is need of a few bits like new spark plug leads!
Now onto the Nuffield i only brought this one a few weeks, and to be quiet honest i am not even sure its a DM4 but i think thats it The previous owner stored it where i work, and i got it offered to me at a good price so i brought it. There are a few littel problems but they wont take too much to sort, i am hope to do it up so its in working condition. Its road registered and all so it will be good for road runs!

Thanks Mike, do try to get them all good focused nicly, some times its a bit harder with a phone camera!
Nice pictures Cerin. You do have a good eye for photographing. Looking forward to some 2012 action. You have one of the loveliest countrysides to take pictures in.
Thanks very much Niels! Hope fully get out a bit more this year if i have the time. Have to say alot of the photos would be nothing without the countryside!

Good photos Cerin, i'm guessing one of the tank flaps fell down on the TX64, the same thing has happened on ours a couple of times this season
Cheers Josh! And i think thats what happened
Another fantastic update Cerin, great to see what's going on at harvest down where you live and the variety of machinery that's in use. Personal favourite out of that little lot has to be the close up shot of the grain being unloaded from the Deutz combine, a very "busy" photograph. Keep up the good work mate.
Thanks very much David!
Greta pictures you have made. Like the pictures with the JD and Vicon baler.
Also a very nice area.
Texas
Thanks Texas, the scenery dose make some of the photos!

On thursday our local Manitou dealer had a demo day at college, and have to say your right about the Health and saftey takes over i had a bucket full of soil in the 634 and the weight alam was going off when i lifted it abit \ Was nice to drive but know a few about and seem to spend alot of time broken down!
If i was to buy a new handler i would go for a Merlo or a Jcb, as there both good machines to drive and pretty relible in my opion, the Claas scorpains are meant to be good but ive havnt had any experience with them and if there like the Targo's there not worth going near. Wouldnt go much on cat aswell!

We have one, it might be a 12.5 cubic yard thou as it looks bigger and is on bigger tyres, dose that matter?
-
Very nice! What bonnet did you use, or did you make your own?
-
Says in the back of the farmers weekly if you got one about
But there not making very much, £60-100 a tonne if i remeber right
-
That make sense, helpful for round balers more than others I think as you get a more even bale.
Yeah exactly just drive on!
What size wind turbines are roud your way
And i dont have a clue? Whys thats?
Theres the big tall ones, but there planning on taking some of them down and putting ones twice the size up and a few farms have there own small ones.

Some great photo's!
Like the landscape also in that area!
In the area i live it is flat
Thanks very much Johny, it is very nice the hill i took the first pictures of the new holland tx from you can see for miles all around!
nice pictures cerin, where did you take them?
Cheeere Paul, The lastest update most were taken between Zelah and Goonhaven
Brilliant!!!!!! Love those New Holland TX64 photos, boy have you got some hills to contend with there. That Deutz is laying down a fair size swath of straw too! Good crops
Thanks Tris
And yeah got plenty enough hills! And the deutz has the straw guides taken off, i think its so you dont have to weave when baling as its the full pickup width!

yes since i have done this in yellow i have done a bit of research on yellow mc cormicks and your very right ,Cornwall council had them and farmmodels did some ltd ones a few years back but not this model and there yellow is very different to this ,this is more like air port yellow ,i don't really like this model in red but i like the yellow on it ,
Thats fair enough! Looks very good anyways
