hey nick, you want a TEA ya best keep ya ear to the ground
gisborne had a TEA20 set up with industrial mudguards etc up to only a few years back, they now replaced it with a kawasaki mule........the TEA20 would be a better machine ha ha!.....and i don't know what air new zealand did with those tractors, were they went, i am sure they are somewhere
i think there is still tugs at the christchurch airport in use, based on ford 5000 skid units
the nicest airport tractor i have seen is the one in one of the UK tractor mags a couple months back, was a DB taskmaster? with a torqueconverter and cab.........

they would be a interesting bit of kit to come across......look good in my shed
friend in belguim is still waiting for his SAME aircraft tractor, thats one of the most unique SAME i have seen

you find there is a few of those crane/hedge trimmers around, i think the hydro86....in the pic still goes in gisborne
there is a outfit up towards auckland way that builds these conversions up.......i think they have a website

this pic is the hedge trimmer that used to trim that hedges on the farm for us, it was owned by a contractor
it started life as a 2wd 84 hydro, got a neuss D-358........and a hiab crane fitted and saw blade on a hyd motor, driven off the a pto pump,..........pretty much at the limit the hydro chassis could handle.......ha ha!

this is a pic of the iseki 4451 lowered to the weeds
we had 20 acres of kiwifruit when i was a kid, this was the last thing we did with them, push them in a hole, and burn them, the iseki ran a grain drying fan that blew air into the bottom, this set up burnt the green wood, hundreds of tires and all the wire \
can you read what is writen on the side of the fan???

they built small ones too.........i wouldn't say they was a zetor, the asians seem to built them better then that.......zetor may out pull one thou
the asians built there tractors for diff markets to mr Zetor, it showed in the final product....cross plys vs radials, only 30km/h road speed available, hyd mid mount plumbing, mid pto (some machines), tractors built to be lighter then norm, and compact, often not great pullers
ISEKI and kubota survive also (those two japanese brands are the silent heros), also LG build tractors,
i have a customer with a DK75 with a turbo bolted on it, basically makes it a DK90, basically all it does is loader work and feeding out........he likes it,

is one of the sites in the US, admitatly the lifestyler market is different to the farmer market, the machine demands are a lot less...........i do know of a guy in michigan way who uses a basic spec small one with a logging winch, and loader to feed his portable saw mill
you will see they now offer the dk90 in america
with powerfarming here strong sellers of landini and mcCormick, i haven't seen a new daedong in a while round here either........but the landini vision 90 has been a big seller,

daedong is marketed as kioti in america, the largest ones sold in the US is about 60hp now, they are huge sellers over there
the DK daedong sold here is a perkins engine, and a trans and axles build influenced by iseki engineers i was told (if this is true the front axle should be pretty damn good)
you here lots of people who think they were a pile of crap...........but 90% of that was because most tractors this size get loaders on them.........and apparently the daedong loader wasn't built for NZ farmers either..........rather soft
anyway........some people like em, they are nice, nice cab, they have a fridge in them for your lunch, dry clutch is a bone of contention for most people........
they have sold well........they are priced accordingly.........and you only get what you pay for,
i think they offer a wet clutch on the larger ones and have taken the time to improve them, and in the compacts they offer hydros, etc and they also still offer a bare bones 4wd compact with a crash box, one of daedongs first tractor builds........as a cheap entry level machine.......and they are actually pretty good
you want a tractor up to 90hp, don't want a loader, reckon you will do 600-800hours a year, these will do it, ,,,,,,,and powerfarming NZ is a well established franchise, definitly gives customers the confidence to buy them.......they stand behind them, and carry parts..........one of my customers uses one to pull gang mowers on turf tires round parks, seems to work alright, just no speed demon on the road

hows that for you nick, there is a outfit in NZ importing the smaller loaders, you can get them with 3 pt hitch on the rear, good replacement to the bobcat etc, just not up to the throw put of a jag chopper, but these larger ahlmanns will , 4ws keeps ya off the walls of the pit, and the pivoting arms up front speed up the dressing of the edges of the pit

asking a loadall to push silage is really just signing its death wish, telehandlers just don't like it, they will do it, but often the little troque converters don't agree with it
farmmaster 414,416,434 etc are built to do it, awesome on the stack, the powershift and ag tires love it
tractors work real well to, loadings on the front axles are tractors limiting factor, powershift tractors will push on the stack well, one of the most effeicent machines for the job.........but at the end of the day a tractor is built to pull, the front axle will always be abused..........pushing a load and lifting, and skidding the wheels puts huge forces on it..........and the further you put the weight out past the front axle, the worse the loading will be.....you can stack with a tractor people do it, be gentle,...or don't moan when the front axle gets rebuilt later in life
the best machine for the job would be a JCB434 4 wheel steer, rigid chassis, with a pivoting boom on a turrent.........a over grown airmann from germany...........basically.......

the ISEKI 4451 cam to our farm lowered with 24'' on the rear, the drawbar was about 3 inches off the ground and did about 9km flat out...........ha ha!...........it was purpose built as a orchard tractor, while we had a orchard.......when the orchard went, we standardised it
after the 4410 4wd, we got a 4450 4wd 18spd......same but later version, then a 4451 2wd which was a 12spd, and it was lowered to the weeds ha ha!
these little tractors were dark horses, the 4451 recieved the most punishment of the lot, we put the 70in howard hoe on it, 12ft flexitine cultivator, 2.5m 3pt hitch direct drill, we even put the tarrup 502 on it for about half a hour (loved it, just ran too hot), it ran the PZ 210 drum mower when all other tractors were missing in action (believe me that wasn't pretty), it didn't quiet have the power to run the NH286 in lucerne, didn't really pack the top of the bale nice, we put a couple clutches in it, and broke a bearing out of a housing on the PTO in the rear end, something to do with the excursions out lined above i guess.......
the little ISEKI didn't have a shuttle, but was schncro from forward to reverse, it had a electrohyd pto, 540 and 1000, you could shift ranges on the move, draft control, was a great tractor, loved to work

.....the titan axle had internal final drives, was completely diff axle......you might be thinking of the buffalo front axle
some MF's./.....188, 175 and 135 probably
we had a 148 somewhere too
here is one that will warm the cockles.............MF1100 doing what it did best.........still got the saddle tanks on it from planting.......used to spray infront of a 3m lely powerharrow, one pass
