  2. What's everyone's chosen method for cleaning second hand models?

I now use a car interior detailing spray, small brush and a microfiber towel. It works well for me. I just have to dust with a small brush every now and then.   Does anyone have tips for cleaning used britains farm animals. I have some with pen on them and dark stains.    Here's some pics of a couple combines I've cleaned before they are put on the shelf

  3. Some more additions to the collection    finaly got my hands on a stewart trailer    I've my name down for a grain trailer but couldn't miss out on a nice bale trailer on ebay.    Had hoped the jd combine would be 1.64 but I think its something strange like 1.80  still nice enough to look at tho.

Don't even know how many is out there .

Think there's a standard 6600 a silver gold and bronze 6600 (possibly)   a yellow 5000, the weathered 7000 and cultivator, a case, that metallic Nash and possibly a yellow 390t.   Might be a converted old britains ford aswell.

Nice little haul , is the rotavator a shapeways one?

Not sure   bought it of a guy on Facebook   he bought a load of them or had them made and then painted them and weathered them for folk    I'm tempted to make it more like a Howard but for now it will be grand

  6. Fue new additions    nice fraser dung spreader, a rotorvator dressed up as a howard, couple nice 1.64 bug buds and a britains landrover that I've been putting off buying but finally gave in (it's a nice defender just like the rest of the ones britains have made)

    No you’re not dreaming 😳😳5EA71402-54F6-4553-BDEF-08E41F1117E7.thumb.png.1ee3dba695e12124b67cd449f34bd96e.png

The guy that owns the real lorry apparently told everyone to bid up the models with fake bids.     He had a batch made and wanted collectors to be able to get 1 each and only 1 (any orders for more than 1 were apparently cancelled) and anyone that bought to sell straight away has been hit with fake bids.

Good to see a quad back in the range, I guess Polaris want too much licensing fee and by painting it blue with no stickers they won't have to give Honda anything for this one.

We had a blue Honda before   think it was a Honda fortrax and the red one was a big red.    But yea no stickers for no licence  just a money maker      I loved mine when I was carpet farming but I think we all had one with missing racks or handle bars haha

A slightly better photo of the Massey 7S.190.   I have to say the wheels look spot on R42/R30s  and are accurate to current styles in use, same goes for 6S.180 which is on replica R38/R28. I only bring this up because the 8S rear wheels are way out!!!  Fronts are very good though. I hope the 7S & 6S come along soon before the world goes completely nuts🤪

May be an image of text

I must say that's one of the smarter looking masseys they have made  the rest like you say always had odd looking wheels

Originally a Herald goat from 1958, this is a post '64 version with ENGLAND on its belly. The dogs are also originally a Herald design from 1957. the Farm hand would have had either a broom, hoe, pitch fork or rake, again herald from 1958 originally. The dark green figure was for the Zoo range from 1963, but was used in one of the large show jumping boxed sets, a Britains figure, he used a head from a Herald Royal Marine figure of 1960,  that was also used on the milkman. The donkeys look like the first Herald version released in 1961. For more information on Herald and Britains animals/figures there is an excellent reference book by Peter Cole, Suspended Animation,  and also the books by Barney Brown, if you can find them!

Thanks for the information 👍     it's nice to see the herald rang   and compare them with the later figures.  I was having a study of the man with his shotgun and comparing him with the grey newer version.
