  1. Great pictures, Andy. I'm very disappointed I couldn't make it, but will have to try next year.

Just as well as the majority of FTFers are good modellers 'cos they aint good lookers.  ;D ;D

Obviously you are not including me in that statement Johnny boy!  ???

Well impressed with your baler mind, in a 'someone needs to get out more' kind of way!  ;)

  2. Went cashless to Brum, but I did bring home a Norev Dominator from my best bud Bazza.... a thing of beauty.....  :-*

    And the combine  ;)  ;D

And my little mate who came with me had a good haul incidentally...

  3. Not me, it did depend on the weather but I had my memory jogged that either way, me and some mates are going to see Lee Mack in Bristol.  :)

    Trissle, you're a waster!

I'll be in for a couple of hours in the morning, going to bring a friend's son who I took to Spalding last year, he's desperate to go and his dad says I've got to take him or he'll have to instead!

  4. Britains never went away, they just had a bit of a lean period starting in the late 90's with the likes of the Same Rubin and the Renault Cergos and in my opnion they started to get better when the MF 1505 and JD 7020 and the like came out around 04/05. The current stuff and the models on the way are a step up again from thses though, good for Britains I say, now just need to do something with the boxes and the stooopid bloody packaging, it would be nice to see an updated version of the Straw box, and a return to the blow moulded tray that fits around the tractor.

    God James, you're soooooo serious...  ???  ::)  ;)  :laugh:

I agree it would be nice to go back to the moulded tray with the clear moulded cover, that was probably as good as Britains packaging ever got... these ruddy wire ties and random bits of cardboard packing are a right pain in the ar&e... I do still like the UH/Ros packaging though.... snug and sturdy.... one thing at a time mind, let's let Britains enjoy the glory of apparently getting the models right again before we start complaining about the boxes!!!!

  5. Totally agree with you Simon (always a 1st time for everything  ;) )

Not sure what the real Fendt lovers would prefer though ???

Who gives a ****?!?!!  ???  They're all too busy listening to Kraftwerk and doing C++ programming for fun to care about the colour of their wheels.... they only see 'the matrix'....

so i'll make a 3rd then Flippin heck

    There's a good lad...  ;)

  6. I have still to get one of my tractor registered since it was taken in from France and was never registered in the United Kingdom. I have the serial plate and number but only one person in France ( used to write in T&M ) though it was was around 1957.

I then spoke to a chap from Alyth who deals with the DVLA in inspecting and agreeing the age so that an age related number can be issued. Remembering back to when I restored my Farmall A back in 1987 the year was stamped on the inside of the rear wheel rims. A couple of years ago we removed a rather rusted tyre from one of the wheels top reveal the date. I showed the chap the photos of tractor and wheel and date. He said that this would be sufficient for him to verify and obtain an age related number. I really must get around to doing it.

They were ok doing it off a wheel?! That's incredible really Bill... I wouldn't have thought they would have accepted something which can so easily be changed.....! Thanks for that though.... very interesting.... :)

  7. They don't realy sepecialise in anything. He just knows everything!

If you give him a ring, he's a nice chap and give him the casting numbers and he might be able to get you your reg. He works for the dvla as well doing the vintage tractor regastrations

I'll pass that on, thanks!  :)

  8. Pop down The Fox and Hound, Simon. There is usually a bloke sat in the snug with a jippy leg and hungry looking whippet. Give the dog a packet of scratchings and tell him you'll give him a large one and he'll print one off for you  ;)

Oh I know, it's late and Hobbit must be bored!! Although tonights Question Time. . ...  ::)

You've inhaled too much lime plaster I reckon mate.....  :of  ::)

  9. Someone has asked how he goes about getting a V5 for a 135 he has bought for which the owner didn't have a logbook.

It has no number plate on it and he doesn't know whether it ever was registered.

He has the engine, gearbox & axle numbers and wants to know how he can get it registered and get a new V5 in his name....

An ideas how he should go about it people...?

    Thanks!
