The 240 was on sale today at the lakeland model show all sold out

Be fair,to have collected 500 models is not bad going by anybodys standards. It is an expensive hobby to persue especially if looking for the rarer model.

Just been searching through various catergories, what on earth has happened to the whole system
You cant choose distance nearest 1st,ending soonest etc
the item you look at seems to be all over the place on the listing page i.e cant seem to enlarge pictures,to me the whole set up has gone totally pathetic? ??? ??

looking at this picture the front axle is fairly similarSome great looking models!
One thing in my opinion: The front axle of the 550 stands a bit to far back to the cab.I think it needs a bit more to the front.
But for the rest is looks stunning!
Kind regards Johny

totally agree, still cant beat the toy fair for purchasing obsolete items, have a browse first then a bit of bartering - cant beat iteBay changed their fee system one around a little while ago - for private sellers starting an auction style listing at 99p, there is now no insertion fee, and you can insert one picture for free.
Final value fees for private sellers are now a blanket 10%, up to a maximum fee of £40 on any one item; ie. the fee on an item selling for £400 or more will be £40 (apart from listings in 'eBay Motors' which have a different fee structure)
Fees for business sellers are more complicated, and vary from one category to another, but in general the listing fees are higher than for private sales, and the final value fees are lower.
To be honest, unless you have a rare issue which is in demand, reselling recent issues is almost certain to make a loss after taking into account fees and non recoverable costs (such as travelling miles to the nearest PO!).
I really only watch Britains, but eBay prices have been very erratic recently (though the prices realised are generally a lot lower than a year ago). There have been some real bargains on older items, but sometimes they attract the attention of a number of bidders and sell for over the odds. Genuinely rare and desirable, or well hyped items still go for silly money. I have also noticed that in general, 'Buy It Now' prices for older Britains are way over the top, and they never sell - certain sellers have had the same items going round and round on constant relisting for over a year or more (you'd think they would have cottoned on by now!)

I could have collected it no problem but Northumberland is a big county and when i asked the question of 'which area are you based in the county' and is there a box with it you can guess the outcome.........no responce???

Dont mind me asking but is there ever going to be a story on the company that sells new and repro international parts- it was planned several months ago but nothing seems to have evolved
-

A very nice model you have produced there,no doubt a lot of time and patience to achieve the finished article.
-
Having surveyed the ifor williams trailer at Spalding in more detail i am very unimpressed with this model, the towing hitch is pathetic, the general build and appearence are poor and as for the 2 cows that come with it???
It has no comparison to the earlier britains version-but how come siku managed to secure the rights to this model? Why did britains lose out when they had such a success with original version
-
The reason that available models like the 1200 and other tractor models which cost in excess of the ton mark is the original castings, models been built from several parts, fitting the kits together and the liscensing and copywright from the sole ownership
Personally it annoys me that these models can be thrown together in a country where labour is very cheap, huge numbers can be reached in a short period and a world wide market
Whereas someone has managed in this country to produce highly detailed models, which has involved a lot of hard work, time and effort to create something which attracts a certain market which the large toy manufacturers should have latched onto at the time of the proper tractor been in production
An example - massey 390 1 of the best selling tractors in the UK in the 1990's
The closest thing to it a 362?
Some one has taken the time and effort to produce this model 10 years on,is it popular
i rest my case ?????
