we run jd fendt and deutz had problems with them all a 8530 that kept going through brakes it has be since moved on a fendt 818 on its second gearbox and some of the older agrotrons gave gearbox trouble but only the ones with powershift the newer deutz seem to be alot better we have two 936s here one with over 3000hrs on her and no trouble but its not just tractors we run a few trucks merc actros and scania when we got our frist merc in 97 it broke the bosses heart every day it was giveing false warning lights all from bad connections the scania we have at moment has been back in a few times on its frist day with us there was a leak in the cab the auto box packed up on it as well about 3 months after we got it but as the boss says show me a garage that doesnt have mechanics .machines are made to break and thats the way its going to be thats how they make their money build quailty is got very bad it doesnt matter what make you have you will allways have one that will give trouble isay bring back the older straight forward tractors of the eightys and nineties far better than whats on the market today

it all comes down to money for him he cant afford to change both but needs to go up to triple mowers to cope with the work he lost alot of work last year we came in to help him in the end .its hard for him as the banks arent as quick at giveing out money as they use to be he has a fairly good outfit he tries to change something every year but its not easy the only reason we run such a good fleet is the boss sold a lot of land for the building game so money doesnt come into it for him but it does for my matenot been in farming for a long time, but i recon you have answered the question for him there, if the dealer says 250hp, then why would you put them on a 200 hp tractor, i know other factors come into it, but thats a hell of a shortfall for even a light crop ??

nice pics like the btd are you giveing her a full refurb

he did this his is only putting 200 on the shaft they are saying at least 250 i know our fendt926 can struggle at times so much so it and the936 have to work apart as it gets in the wayi would suggest he checks with the dealer hes buying the mowers from what hp they require, then see what his tractor puts out, pretty simple basic stuff to be honest that i would have thought all farmers do when buying kit? i know my uncles did when buying new kit

a mate of mine is just after buying a set of triple mowers he is going to put them on a jd 7530 autopower alot of lads are now telling him it wont be able for it there is no one else running a outfit with a tractor that small he is getting worried about it does anyone know of anyone running a tractor of this size on such a outfit have they had any problems thanks
