nothing new on the imber front so i take it,that cattle crush is very tasty any idea how much he was asking for it

wouldnt have a 10 series workshop manual lying around by any chancethey told us at the training centre boreham house on an engine course to learn the engines well as we would be getting plenty of experience as the instructors admitted the engines were crap reliability wise and explained the porous block problem. i still have all the old service bulletins .
-
at last a proper answer, now i have it correctcross block definitely a replacement in this age of tractor i did plenty of them, later force 2 onwards had cross blocks as standard. the ribbed cross blocks were to help stop cavatation of the water jacket by providing more metal in the blocks. the cavatation within the water jackets caused bubbles which poppped against the in line bores. which after a while made the castings go porous. cross blocks and inhibotor filters were last ditch attempt to save the ford engines .

i used to think that but we have a series 2 6610 and it has the x on the engine block and it is original, never touchedvery good model even got a replacement short motor cross block in them, obviously the real thing copied had a porous block

well id say if they dont do the ap cab nobody will
-
no end to what you can do,absolutley savage

taking quite a while been at it on and off, have the gates finished now and springs fitted to the back door so it springs closed just like the real one.just ordered a new powerwasher to keep it clean.thanks for all the commentsOooo I like that. Complicated ol' job by the looks of it - how long's it taken you so far? Nice to see something a bit different
-
the best way of doing it in my opinion is use a ford 7810,lenghten the chasis at the front ahead of the engine block,7810 back wheels,mccormick115 front wheels,a britains 5610 bonnet lenghtened ,7810 cab, exhaust and precleaner and there you have it,thats how i done mine
-
any more on this ian, would love to see how it turns out
-
again impressive work just so neat and tidy, fair play
-
i have to say as easy as it looks to build it has been the most complicated in terms of building it and having the parts painted at the same time, gates at the back are proving difficult
-
-
well spottedvery nice mate. did you put the ridge on the top of the bonnet with a plastic strip as the 6920 doesnt have one
-
thanks for the comments guys,it was really bugging me with a long time and when they badged the new model as a 7430 i had to have a go at sorting it.went through heaps of photos and there is a huge difference between the two
-

liking that alot, nice job as usual
-
even has diesel tank done at the back, savage conversion absolute credit to you
-
its the wiking jd with deutz ttv wheels, ive used a siku 6920 bonnet withthe 6930 grills put in,had to drop the cab a couple of mm too as the bonnet is not as high.if you put the 2 bonnets together there is good bit of a difference but im happy enough with it
-
cheers mate, just shows that the wiking is a 7*30 not a 6930,theres quite a difference
