  1. Well, here is some of what I have. Most of the parts on this one come from Ertl's John Deere 4020 dealer edition. The heat houser came from an Ebay auction. The loader went right on with slight drilling. The tire chains needed to be modded, where the hooks are, the part that crosses the tire needed to be removed and inplace two cross chains one in ether side, had to be placed. I am still working on the heathouser, I am trying to make it side entry so that one side swings open so the operator could get off. I have to make small hinges tonight. Here we have my JD 4440. The loader is from a John Deere 6200 (I think) The front and rear wheeles and tires are from a John Deere 4620, the hubs for duals (which I have) where turned on a steel lathe my a buddy of mine. I added hydro hoses to the loader aswell. A special thanks to the guys over at TTS (Toy Tractor Show) who helped me with the projects. You may recognize these as tractors built by Craig Ostlund. These are my custom modles replicated from his customs.
  2. Well. I've done it again... I put a loader on my JD 720. This 720 is nothing special, just ertl's 1/16 that was issued in 2006 in a combo package with the blade that is behind my 530. I will try to upload some photos later.
  3. Thank you very much for the site! ;D I have been looking for those for a while. Would you happen to know where I could get a set of rear wheel weights also? They need to match closely to the John Deere weights. Thanks, Lucas
  4. This is the loader I made for the 530 before it was painted. It was made from 1/4'' copper pipe and the brackets where made from the Axel of a silage wagon that I converted to a wood wagon. You may recognise the bucket from a vintage International 3444. The 3444 was badly fire damaged ad this was about the only thing I could salvage. I am still searching for Decals. Sorry for the brightness, this was the last pic I took and did not know the flash was on until after the pic. The blade was also customized. I removed the 3pt adapter and shortend the shaft 1''. Any help with ways to ad hydraulic cylinders would be great
  5. Testor's Metal, wood, plastic, and rubber Cement. (expensive, but well worth it.)
  6. Well, I'm newer here and unsure if you still check this, but Would it be possible for you to tell me where in the heck I could get ahold of a set of rear wheel weights for my 1/16 50th ANV John Deere 530? I have looked all over without luck. And for my suggestion, I think the whole Weatherbreak/Heat Houser and tire chains idea was one of the best things ever offered by Ertl on the John Deere 720 with 80 blade and 45 loader, John Deere 530 50th Anv, Farmall 460 gas, and the upcoming Farmall 460U. But, I know some people(including myself) who would also love to be able to get ahold of just the heat houser or Just the tire chains to put on their tractors. I would like to suggest a "winter kit" in which people could buy the heat houser and tire chains together of seperate and with a list of tractors and makes of tractors that particular model fits with an instalation guide. And since they replicate FEMCO Inc.'s heat housers, How about instead of putting the tractors brand name on it, put FEMCO's logo on it but still make it avalible in colors that match the tractors. I have seen (although rarely) An Ertl Heat Houser sell on Ebay for close to $30 so It would Probably make plenty of money. Thanks, Lucas And for those of you who don't know whar a Heat houser is, I was lucky enough to snag this from an ebay auction a few months ago:
  7. Are you talking about a Weatherbreak/Heat Houser? I use jean fabric for mine. make it slightly bigger and fold the edges over. A guy made this for the Iowa toy musem (sorry for my spelling my internet is to slow to run spell check) If I where im I would tighten that tie abit
  8. Hello to all, I am new here. I have been getting into making Heat Housers for modle tractors. I recentaly bought a 30th ANV. Edition JD 530 with the Heat Houser and tire chains. I made a loader for it and want to customize it further. I am looking for an extra set of wheel weights for it and so far, I have had no luck on locating any. Could anyone help? Also, I am looking for some Decals for the loader with the 60's style lettering. All help would be greatly welcomed.
